FaceBook bans another users for not believing official CT shooting story.

Facebook Suspends Account For Questioning Official Narrative on Shooting---Despite the fact that the mainstream media got key facts wrong in early reporting

Facebook is suspending user accounts that question the official narrative behind the Sandy Hook school massacre, following a warning by Connecticut State Police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance that “misinformation” posted on social media sites could result in prosecution.

Given that most of the “misinformation” about the shooting came from corporate media sources, the fact that Facebook is punishing users for asking questions about the proper sequence of events – essentially labeling such activity a thought crime – is a worrying development.

So what else is new? Now you know why I would never belong to Facebook...never have and never will...It's just a privacy disrespecting data mine to profile everyone on it for both the advertisers and the modern surveillance state.

The last thing I want is to get caught picking my nose in front of a webcam and have it plastered all over facebook. embarassed

here is the deal, and the problem with cyberspace

the freedom of speech is not an absolute freedom
just like it doesnt make you free to yell fire in a crowded theater

another freedom is a fair trial,,,with the multitude of misinformation that freedom is hard enough to respect

so , its a case of freedoms overlapping

when 'freedom of speech' overlaps with a persons right to a fair trial

I think common sense and decensy has to be used to figure it out

its not the speech that is being stopped, in private forums and conversations and in public discourse people can still speak whatever they wish

but on a cyber source, viewed by possible millions, they arent free to disrupt anothers chance at a fair trial

I realize the suspect is dead in this case, but in an ongoing investigation such misinformation is equally disruptive to getting justice for the victims

That is not the point Msharmony. And you know very well it has Nothing to do with any trial, as you have said, the guy is dead.

It is about 1. Facebook being used by the FBI, which is bad enough.

But when they threaten to ARREST people for what they post, or for what they think or for a conspiracy theory they consider to be "disinformation" that is suppressing and controlling FREE SPEECH.

That is them saying that what they are telling us about an event is GOSPEL and anything else is "disinformation." This means they will eventually protect their lies and make any alternate information that disagrees with what they are telling the public to be ILLEGAL TO SPEAK ABOUT.

That is unacceptable!

It is the beginning of making their propaganda (whether it is truth or lies) to be the only thing legal.

It is killing freedom of expression, freedom of thought, freedom of truth, freedom of opinion, freedom of speech.

ABSOLUTELY UNEXCEPTIONABLE. I would suggest that you stop making excuses and stop defending these inch by inch stealing of your and my FREEDOM before you find yourself afraid to express your opinions about anything.

Freedom is paramount.

I reserve the right to lie or tell the truth or speak my opinion and what I believe to be the truth. Right or wrong.

9-11 was an inside (bankster) job.
President Kennedy was killed by the banksters.

President Obama is a promise breaker and a liar.

You are defending the beginning of laws that will put me in jail for my opinion.

I just fail to see where not posting to FACEBOOK keeps anyone from exercising free speech

we are exercising it right now, saying whatever we want about the incident

I dont consider it too much of a threat or imposition personally

I Agree with FaceBook. They need to put More Limits on there.lol
People date, abuse others with gossip and all kinds of stuff I heard.

That site should be just for friends and family pnly. It has got way out of hand over the years. Everything is on Facebook.

I am a member for Family and Friends only, and it makes a good communication for those not living in Same State.

Not posting to Facebook never stopped me (I don't belong to it). I feel I should point out though, that the "spreading misinformation" warning went out to ALL social media, which presumably includes Mingle.

I wish to state here and now that I reserve my right to spread misinformation & gossip to my heart's content. If I say anything slanderous/libellous, the injured party is free to file suit in a court of law, as that is HIS right.

Now that we have that out of the way, can we get back to misinformally gossiping?

Yes, you fail to see.

Note: CT Authorities threatened to ARREST PEOPLE for questioning or spreading "misinformation" about the shooting on any social media sites, not just Face book.

Yet they, on several occasions the authorities in CT spread their own misinformation.

They don't realize you can't arrest people for questioning information or saying what they think, or for asking questions. If they do, they can be sued.

Facebook just happens to be under the control of the FBI, CIA or other authorities. In other words, they sold out.

wow

ok

well, I guess IM taking my chances along with everyone else. There are all types of reasons a website can 'ban' someone, its their discretion, so this reason doesnt upset me.

lets see how many actual 'arrests' will be made because some jo smoe posts an opinion on social media,,,,,

I left FB a LONG time ago.. my kids initially wanted me on there so I figured Why Not.. I stayed for awhile.. but when they started making all the changes to profiles etc (about a year ago you had no choice.. change was inevitable) I did a lil digging.. discovered some unhealthy security risks and decided a) I WON'T be told what to do and b) I won't let anyone play with MY security so opted to shut my profile down.. they kept harassing me by email to RE-JOIN or they'd close my account slaphead when that was exactly what I was TRYING to do..

I hear ya Jeannie.. I have warned friends and other family members of my findings.. but some just choose to stay.. ohwell their decision.. whoa
