Are you more attracted to intelligent people? Or, do you find ditzyness a turn on?

I in no way think I am above anyone but I do need someone who is intellectually on the same level (or close to) as me. I would be super annoyed having to dumb down what I say all the time or having to constantly explain myself.

Edit: I also can't deal with someone who thinks they are smarter than everyone else.

Gots to have an intelligent one.
Otherwise, guess what happens.
They begin to blame YOU for feeling stupid.

What do you think intelligence means? Are you turned on by it, or would you prefer someone less intelligent?

Smart is the attraction for me....everybody is intelligent by their own design.

I will use Gardner's 7 types of intelligence here. I have dated some smart women, who unfortunately downplayed it. On the other hand I had dated not so smart women. Depending on where there intelligence lies. They can be ditsy in some areas, cuz so am I, as along as they have some competency somewhere. But that giggling stupid act is a real turn off

^this

someone on the same intellectual level, a match

ditziness is a turn off as is the ego that often comes along with the uber intelligent,,,

Smart = Good
Geeky = Not so good!

I want a guy that can hold his own with me, have an intelligent conversation, but also knows how to have fun! And isnt stuck in teacher mode all the time!

I make it a rule to associate with people slightly dumber than I. Sometimes I don't even have to try.

Intelligence is... bizarrely sexy.

But, as was stated, there are different forms of intelligence to be appreciated.

I tend to go for someone I feel is on the same level as me, or who is smarter. I don't go for the dumber guys, though.

I can't imagine having the time to worry about it, most people don;t know what intelligence is

nearly all people posses an intelligence that exceeds the norm in some way - even those who may not express themselves well verbally

people who are not qualified to ***** the intelligence or mental capacity of others but do so anyway kinda get on my nerves

but not completely because we use our brains to understand by labeling and categorizing

and I understand that it's one of those nebulous concepts - I think in the context of this thread it is really more a matter of being on the same wave length and understanding each other with a similar intelligence or knowledge pattern

similar perception and information processing
