So many armchair warmongers here!

Go live in Gaza for 6 months under Isreali sanctions on them, then come back and spout your hate against them.

Anybody can sound brave and holier than thou from an armchair! The world is full of crackerjack heros.

You love Isreal so much your willing to sacrifice sanity, the children of others, and the blowback from our actions in the ME.....MOVE THERE! Do something other than offer lip service support and ridicule of those who don't!

Leave my kids and my country out of it!

So shortsighted not to see this conflict as part of a wider religious
war against the West. At the very least we should have the honesty to
support the Israelis when they are brutally and repeatedly attacked
on ideological grounds just as we were attacked on ideological
grounds on 911.

There was an excellent interview with Shimon Peres this evening on
Piers Morgan (CNN) where Peres made this frank and truthful assessment:

1. This is war. It is a war not of Israel's choosing.

2. Hamas has a choice. They can lay down their arms at anytime and
the fighting will immediately stop.

3. Israel has no choice. Israel must defend themselves vigorously to
try to limit and ultimately stop the attacks targeting their kids.

It is all up to Hamas/Gazans. If the targeted Israeli airstrikes do
not succeed in stopping all the rockets and attacks. Then a ground
offensive will be necessary.

As the deadly conflict in the Middle East continues, tonight CNN's Piers Morgan will interview Shimon Peres, allowing the president of Israel to offer a response amidst those that disapprove of his nation's airstrikes into Gaza:

“Well you know, whoever criticizes us should suggest an alternative – we started with great restraint. In the last six days thousand two hundred [1,200] missiles fall on our civilians lives, on mothers, on children," says Peres. "We tried to do it with restraint, but apparently they hide themselves in private homes, even in mosques, and we are trying to do our best not to hit any civilian on the other side, but unfortunately a war is a war and they can stop it in one minute if they’ll stop shooting, there won’t be any causalities."

Joining Piers Morgan Tonight from his home in Jerusalem, Peres insists that the Palestinian militant group Hamas is most to blame for initiating the violence and death that has dominated the news cycle since last week:

"We don't know why all of a sudden they start to shoot. I’m not talking about civilians only, but at the children ... you know, they start to shoot at eight o’clock in the morning when children go to the school. Why? What for? I mean it is not in our hand, you know, that – to terrorism, to fight terrorism is not a pleasant experience, and they don't care," he tells Morgan. "They are really producers of death, and without any consideration."

Thanks.

The CNN clips from the Shimon Peres interview last night are
right on the mark. Fortunately it looks like Hamas is finally
ready to stop the rocket attacks. Let's hope the ceasefire
holds.

Ron Paul made some interesting comments in the House pertaining to the conflict in Gaza that should have some bearing on Obama's taking sides on this issue.

laugh

In the 80's we were aligned with Al-Qaida!!

laugh

We funded the Madrassas! The US created the whole problem according
to Ron Paul. We created Hamas! It is all our fault!

laugh

Ron Paul thinks that expressing our support for Israel's right to
defend her citizens is desperately wrong because we originally
created Hamas and Al-Qaida.

laugh laugh laugh

Meanwhile, EVERBODY else UNANIMOUSLY supported the resolution
declaring support for Israel's right to defend her citizens from
terrorist attacks. Gee Whiz. Can't they all see why it is so
WRONG for Israel to defend herself?

What is WRONG with all these seemingly well educated people in
BOTH the Republican and Democratic parties!!

They are all NUTZ!

laugh laugh laugh

Got to hand it to Ron Paul. He really gets to the heart of the
matter. He stands alone. And to think, he could have been our President!

In Gaza, the Tel Aviv bombing was praised from mosque loudspeakers, while Hamas' television interviewed people praising the attack as a return of militants' trademark tactics.

The bombing was the first in the coastal city since April 2006, when a Palestinian suicide bomber killed 11 people at a sandwich stand near the city's old central bus station. A bomb left at a bus stand in Jerusalem last year killed one person.

In other words, this is the first suicide bomber attack by Hamas related groups since the last time an IDF ground operation was conducted in Gaza.

Very... well said!

And without hurling insults and calling those who don't agree with you "idiots", "warmongers", and such.

No need for insults.

There is a need for compassion and for the Palestinian groups to
accept Israel's right to exist. Hamas and Islamic Jihad and Al-Aqsa
brigades etc. need to stop trying to kill innocent civilians and
just live in peace.

Hamas can stop this conflict right now by simply stopping all the
bombings, shooting and rocket attacks. The Israelis have pledged to
also stop fighting as soon as Hamas stops launching attacks on
Israelis. We all call on them to proceed in this way immediately.
Why not?

So many armchair warmongers here!

Go live in Gaza for 6 months under Isreali sanctions on them, then come back and spout your hate against them.

Anybody can sound brave and holier than thou from an armchair! The world is full of crackerjack heros.

You love Isreal so much your willing to sacrifice sanity, the children of others, and the blowback from our actions in the ME.....MOVE THERE! Do something other than offer lip service support and ridicule of those who don't!

Leave my kids and my country out of it!

Does this mean you're going to go live in Gaza and talk the Hamas out of launching rockets at Israel so that Israel can stop fighting back? Let us know how that goes.

If either ever become a threat to America (other than the media making idiots of most Americans via gov't/banker sponsored talking points) I would gladly go there, in support of my country....NOT theirs!

In the meantime I wish them success at killing each other off, but I wish they could do so without the collateral damage and body counts being mostly civilians just trying to survive the insanity of their warring factions and leaders.
