Here in the USA, I often observe members of both major political parties making questionable claims.

On the one hand, I encounter Republicans who claim that the Democratic Party is hostile toward freedom of religion in general, especially toward Christianity.

On the other hand, I encounter Democrats who claim that the Republican Party is hostile toward minorities, especially toward Hispanics and African-Americans.

I encounter Republicans who claim that Democrats simply want to give away other people's money.

I encounter Democrats who claim that the wealthiest of Americans aren't paying their fair share in taxes.

I encounter Republicans who claim that the USA was founded on the Decalogue recorded in the 20th chapter of the Tanakh book of Exodus.

I encounter Democrats who claim that wealthy Americans acquired their wealth because they were given some sort of unfair advantage.

The aforementioned claims prompt me to stay out of both parties, because the claims are false.

It can get so ugly! Like kids throwing "barbs" and sticks and stones at each other in the schoolyard.

The banks fund both major parties!

Of course there are the unions, the schools who produce lawyers and future leaders, the corporations with something to gain from a certain candidate, lobbyists.....

Here are the stats for the 2 major candidates....then look at Ron Paul!

Which is really a representative of the people?

"The people" are not politically homogeneous. So, it is not possible for just one person to represent "the people".

If your point were valid, we would have no elected officials, or any government at all!

The senate, the house, POTUS, all members are elected to "represent" the will of the people who put them there!

That is why Ron Paul never had a real chance of being elected POTUS. He doesn't represent the will of the majority of the people of the USA. He doesn't even represent the will of the majority of Republicans.

laugh you mean he doesn't support war, crony capitalism, insider trading, corruption in politics, attacks on the constitution and bill of rights, undeclared wars or the fiat dollar.

He received no press coverage even when his rallies were in the thousands (compared to a couple hundred for Romney) unless it was bad press.

Romney had more reporters than supporters at his rallies, had to decrease the sites for his rallies to keep from looking bad as he did at the stadium, while Paul had to keep finding larger venues for his events.....

That "no support" candidate the one you are referring to? laugh

If Paul would have had 1/10th of the press and coverage Romney got, he would be the nominee! They even took his delegates away, unseating them in many states so he couldn't be nominated from the convention floor. When he did get the nomination of 7 states, they then raised it to 8 states instead of 5.....

Oh, but it's only because he didn't have any support... rofl

He beat them at every turn dispite what they threw at him, even without the press coverage they denied him....

These are the principles you are defending? slaphead

Some of Ron Paul's faithful supporters "spooked me out" at times on another forum..They seemed mesmerized or even brainwashed...They acted like Ron Paul was a "messiah" or ??..Too many people got caught-up in viewing Obama as a "messiah" in 2008. And he didn't live-up to expectations at all...When politicians develop a "cult-like following" something is "off-kilter" and the end result is usually major disappointment and disillusionment...I've agreed with Ron Paul in some areas for years now. But I don't support all his views and ideas.

I checked out the managerial and political experience Paul had.

Then checked out the managerial and political experience that Barry had.

I checked the voting records on the two also.

Guess who won, hands down?

Good that you did research on your own. I think this is important...We all have different priorities.. How does each candidate's views and policies "match-up" with our priorities?

You can only list your priorities, no?
How would I know what your priotities are.
Best way is to goo-goo persons vote on issues that you feel important and compare.
