In our daily interactions, we are often faced with situations in which we have to choose between saying it as it really is AND being diplomatic about the truth! What's ur normal style?
Are you known to be an off the cuff speaker or a sugar coated diplomat? :-)

Depends on the situation and person. If it is someone I know I need to be direct them, I speak to them in that manner.

Use sugar when you can. That way you won't gag if you end up eating your words.

They say sugar attracts more flies than vinegar...i say shite has the same effect.

Always Blunt and Direct.....with a half a teaspoon of....sugar!!

I was never born with a brain to mouth filter. Many people hate it, but those who understand that is who I am usually love hanging out with me and come to me for advice a lot more often than I would like. :P

Though I usually call it like it is......I speak bullschitt fluently and do so when the situation warrants it.

Blunt as a butter knife at times. Sharp as a sword at times. Sugar when faced with wounded people, gentleness is sometimes required.

I can be both, usually the wrong way, but it saves my azz, amazingly.

With Hells Angels guys I am as sugary as a Zsazsa Gabor. Real, bona fide crocodiles who hear me commit suicide then. With the queer of England, with the Fist Lady, with Priceless Lea I am blunt and forceful. They like that, actually -- the novelty value, I guess. Everyone grovels around them, and yet a woman needs to be pushed down face first into a bottle of perfume once in a while, and made love to in between the toes.

I'm blunt however tactful. Apparently some people find me to be mean due to this.

I don't sugar coat the truth or my feelings/emotions. I tell it how I see it. I expect the same decency and respect. If you really want to be nice to me, just be honest and upfront.

A bit of both, I always say things how i see them, but at the same time try and keep it nice.
If I am going to hit someone over the head with a brick, I might as well pad it a little.

Where the ladies are concerned, discretion is the better part of valour, a little sugar would perhaps,be the way I would choose to go.

Guess it depends what I think is needed/deserved at the time.

If it is compassion and kindness; I prefer to be kind and gentle. Certainly not that hard to be nice.

But if it is the cold hard truth; especially when vauge terms could be construed as weakness or permission for them to mess up more I can get pretty rough.

When it isn't going to make a difference either way most times I don't feel the need to make an effort either way. If my voice gets lost in the din no big deal.

Read a quote about how "advice is living your life by someone else's decisions" and I really wonder how ofte that is in anyone's best interest.

Usually blunt. Always honest. Sometimes diplomatic. Occasionally sweet.

But fearsome when the fangs come out.
