IDK it just seems strange that they would create fake documentation to make it appear as though they got permission to do their dancing when clearly they did not, and when asked to leave they refuse to do so, and are rude about it.

Also, they chose to do their dance in front of the registers, disrupting business.

Are you talking about a specific flash mob? Perhaps it isn't anything like the rest in this thread are talking about?

Here's an example of a fun one I was talking about that took place in Stockholm.

I never heard about it or anything until I saw it and people were talking about it. The people doing it, didn't seem very friendly. It seemed like they were just creating a disturbance. They didn't have permission and they even provided a false document as if they did have permission. They performed in front of the registers, preventing people from being able to check out. They provided their own music, and When asked to leave, they refused and were rude. The police were called as well, but by that time they had moved to the parking lot.

I think if its in a public place, its hard to be 'disruptive' as public implies an open space available for occupancy to do whatever ,,,,

if it disrupts a private business, Id say there is probably legal recourse for it,,,

if it is disrupting traffic, and therefore dangerous, there is probably legal recourse as well

a public park, or someplace else though,,,,I say go for it and enjoy yourself, just dont put your hands on others,,,or bother what isnt yours

All the flash mobs I have seen have been dancers in a public place not of business.

I think eileena is right, you witnessed a flash rob. Seen that here in Dallas where a hundred teens or older go into a store and walk out with their pockets stuffed....

Just another way to be a criminal I guess.

There wasn't any abnormal shoplifting or anything going on though. So, I don't think it was a flash rob.

Here's another flash mob that harmed no one:

Maybe you discovered a new phenomena, the flash protest? Flash disruption? Flash I-don't-know?

IDK, Whatever it was, it wasn't pleasant. If I were to see something like that in public, it would be an annoyance, but as long as they were not in my way or anything, I wouldn't get irritated too much.

I do donate to charity, but if something like that were going on, it would discourage me from donating at that particular time.

Did you watch the two links I posted for you? Would you find both of those situations annoying? If so, why?

I think they are hilarious, they add spice to an otherwise drab world. My neices were in disneyworld fl, and a flash mob came they joined in and started dancing. It was fun, funny and spontaneous, things memories are made of.

What happened did they come to work or something and break tables? That would be rude.

People are rude to me at work a lot, and they aren't mobs, they are jerky individuals. I think I would rather they assault me In a somewhat loud obnoxious crowd with free entertainment.

Totage, no one is donating anything. They are either partnering up with a good cause or simply just for fun.

This one is my favorite. This one is for you to cheer you up.

I did and yes, I would be annoyed if I saw that. I would find it to be more of a disturbance than entertainment. If I want to see a performance, I'll go to one.

I enjoy your questions, that's what the forums are all about. :)

They made a scene and refused to leave. They didn't have permission, but had fake documents claiming they had permission. Wjen asked to leave they were rude to management.
