IDK, Whatever it was, it wasn't pleasant. If I were to see something like that in public, it would be an annoyance, but as long as they were not in my way or anything, I wouldn't get irritated too much.

I do donate to charity, but if something like that were going on, it would discourage me from donating at that particular time.

Did you watch the two links I posted for you? Would you find both of those situations annoying? If so, why?

I did and yes, I would be annoyed if I saw that. I would find it to be more of a disturbance than entertainment. If I want to see a performance, I'll go to one.

I enjoy your questions, that's what the forums are all about. :)

Thanks for answering the questions :). I can't believe someone actually complained about typing in a place where you type to communicate :P.

Sorry you don't find flash mobs fun, though!

It's just that I find them strange and don't understand the whole concept. I think that's what bothers me about them.

It's like cow tipping, it doesn't have to make sense, it's a group of people who get together a do something randomly funny. Although, I don't find cow tipping funny, or understand it. But that's kind of my point. We don't have to understand it. It's their thing not ours. Lol

Today I discovered something new, flash mobs. From what I gather they just go to businesses and disrupt business? That's what it seems to be. They do not get permission from the businesses they disrupt, and what's worse is that children get involved. It doesn't seem like a form of protest, but just a tactic to disrupt business.

I think this should be illegal, if it's not already. Further more, I do not think children should be involved in this.

What's you thoughts on this?

I believe that is the point.

Do you mean the Flash Mob dancers? I think they are fun and the ones I have heard of are usually done in public places not on business property. I admire those who can learn the dance moves over the computer and have the courage to do it in public with a bunch of strangers

i have heard of flash mobs that have about 100 ppl in them and out of that 100.20 of them will steal stuff from the business

I think you are misinformed. To make such an accusation is not cool at all. Do you have any verifiable source for this?

Yes, that's what I mean. They don't seem fun and friendly to me. Their agenda seems to be to disrupt business illegally. They are very rude and manipulative to workers and management of the establishments they attack as well, it seems.

Is it possible that you saw an advert for the Olympics and you mistook it for the news?

That used to happen to me in the past. I used to take the Coneheads for real, and Love, American Style, as a documentary series, before I learned English. I was riveted to the tv waiting for the skin parts to show. They never did. I was 18 at the time, fresh out of communist Hungary.

Next, my grand-uncle tells me that Martians (or Marxists? Matrix?) invaded Earth in 1935 and the Americans have footage of it. King Kong could have won the World Wrestling Federation Grand title, but he was shot before he could say, in his broken Englsih, "Hi, Baghwan! I don't leave home without it!!" and in this aspect I am a luckier immigrant than he was.
