When convicted sex offenders get charged with a new crime, it is usually for failure to register or failure to verify an address. It is usually NOT for a new sexual offense. I should have clarified, sorry. Thanks....I really did believe the recidivism rate for sex offenders was high...I think a lot of us did or do....

It's a very common misconception. The registration laws make it very difficult to even found housing, work, or services. This often leads to the charges for failure to register or for people to do what Lex did. Now, I'm not saying sexual offenders don't commit crimes against children again, but the fact is recidivism rates from them are not as high as other crimes. The dangerous offenders are those that haven't gotten caught, or got away with it. Interesting....Since you work in the legal system and seem to be familiar with this type of crime, how do you feel about the registration laws?....It sounds like you might consider them counter productive in terms of released sex offenders successfully re entering main stream...On the other side of that coin, as a parent, a grandmother, an aunt, and a woman I feel I have a right to know if one is living in close proximity to my home, playgrounds, schools, etc... Is it denial to be calling this animal Lex??? Willis aka Lex broke the law by not registering his aliases. He is being held without bond in jail, no? He also broke the law by not registering the residences he was at. Willis made his decision to rape babies. If he hadn't been recently caught, he could have graduated to killing them also. As was suggested by his brother. |

It's a good personality trait to seek the positive in others.... I like to do it too. There are some situations where we are exempt from it. Every time I try to feel sorry for the guy i get an image of a mutilated, raped, dead baby girl..and him jacking off to it. That kinda ruins it for me. YUP, ME TOO. They can cry over who they want. They can Love the world if they want. Don't care if they don't like me at all for saying he is the low of the low of the lowest of low scum. Never a friend because he didn't exist, never will be a friend. Honestly I don't like some of you for defending him, not really the kind of friends I want. So do me a favor and delete me, if I don't you first. This is MY feelings...my opinion only...not an attack on anyone. Just my thoughts and feelings. I should have clarified, sorry. Several studies have involved follow-up of extra-familial child molesters. One such study (Barbaree and Marshall, 1988) included both official and unofficial measures of recidivism (reconviction, new charge, or unofficial record). Using both types of measures, researchers found that 43 percent of these offenders (convicted of sex offenses involving victims under the age of 16 years) sexually reoffended within a four-year follow-up period. Those who had a subsequent sex offense differed from those who did not by their use of force in the offense, the number of previous sexual assault victims, and their score on a sexual index that included a phallometric assessment (also referred to as plethysmography: a device used to measure sexual arousal (erectile response) to both appropriate (age appropriate and consenting) and deviant sexual stimulus material). In contrast to other studies of child molesters, this study found no difference in recidivism between opposite-sex and same-sex offenders. For child molesters, the rate is 43%. You have to break it out, because you are including all sex crimes, not just pedophilia. |

Look around at the other ones that have been posting on here for years with little or NO clear pics. Start checking some profiles and then decide if they are really WHO they claim to be. I don't need these kind of people as frinds. I have plenty of REAL friends. I don't care who I offend. Dating sites should make people put up clear PICS of who they are! This will weed out the married ones too! Who are welcome to be here, but don't need to be DATING here!

How do you know that a man who was convicted of sexual assault twice and possession of child porn once was "repenting or changing"? Several clear pics of the same person over the years at different times would not be full proof, but would help. There are laws against using other people's pics and they are more apt to get busted if they do. A single blurred pic ...same pic for years is highly suspicious. No one like that will be in my profile. Here or anywhere else. I only wish to interact with real people who have nothing to hide.

In the video the news channel did as he was hurridly locking up the vacumn repair store, he said, "I got to go, I have things to take care of"...How do you know he didn't get rid of some evidence? I really hope they get a search warrant for his computer and his residence. I would think they would have probable cause.
