When you register you get fingerprinted. Then they have you on record. That is actually a very good idea... which means it won't happen. It's an excellent idea!....I figure most illegals have several pieces of "fake" ID, convicted felons get driver's licenses, and how do election judges determine if a photo ID is valid?....It's too easy to make subtle changes in appearence so verification could be arbitrary in many instances...A finger scan would be quick, precise, and inexpensive in the long run...Perfect solution and those that take issue with it can just stay home on election day....Love it!!!

You still need the workers to hand out the ballots. If anything it would create jobs because you would need program and man the machines. It wouldnt be run by the federal government. It would be your local officials who are in charge of running the elections. The database wouldn't be in a federal database, just kept in the machine itself. Doesn't need to be put in a national database. |

Plus they would still have their job. Once your finger print was scanned the poll worker would be there to hand you your ballot. |

I personally worked one day, my son and cousins worked a few days
they hire poll workers to work at the polls but also have them work before the election doing various tasks,,,it all depends I just worked the poll...(no perverted jokes please,,,) |

when people struggle,, those one or two days can make quite a difference,,, not to mention, be a potential beginning to gaining membership into a 'network',,,,which is essential to making an income these days I know, I am just trying to determine how many jobs would be lost because you made a very big case for that being a valid reason for not having finger scanners or photo ID's...Do you know the exact or even an approximate number of jobs it would eliminate? |
