One can be in love with a great age difference but the question is will it last the test of time? It's difficult enough when a man and woman are:

1. Close in age and life's experience
2. Same political beliefs
3. Same religious beliefs
4. Come from the same culture
5. Have similar financial status

Begin changing the commonalities and it adds further stress to the relationship. Yes, age makes a difference.

Age dose make a difference to me because I've found that most younger guys are just looking for fun or eventually want to have kids of their own. I've already done that. I usually find that younger guys have more in common with my kids who are 18,19,21 than they do me . I prefer guys my own age or a little older.

I've changed my mind on this...I'm open as I realise that maturity and compatibility is more of a factor than age.

If i went younger than 40 my daughter would be shamed out. if i went older than 55 i would be shamed out. I want to grow old TOGETHER.

When I was 48 I was dating a woman of 25. We got along great. The thing is I wouldn't have given her the chance if we had not gotten thrown together so to speak at a party. This woman of 25 was VERY mature for her age. She was so mature that men her age wouldn't date her.

She was an orphan. She was raised all her life in an orphanage. She was never adopted. I'll never know why. She was so pretty. But anyway, Being raised that way made her mature. That's what caught my eye with her. That's what made me stay around for almost a year. I'm not going into the why's and what for's. She went her way and I went mine. But age had nothing to do with it.

Since that time I have dated women my age and maybe a little younger. 35 max. A lot of these women at 35 or more were less mature than the 25 yr old I dated. It has nothing to do with age. It's your mind-set. Where you are in your life. The things you have been through in your life. Life experiences. Some have a lot at 25. While others at 45 are still trying to find themselves and haven't been where the 25 yr old has.

I hate to say it, But it's the truth. To this day I have never found another woman my age that was as dependable as the 25 yr old was. While we were together I knew she had my back. She was the only one to this day.

Tis a matter of my heart that i wouldn't date a guy any younger than me by at least 3 years...any younger and i'd feel like a mother running around after a snotty nosed child

So far age has not made a big difference. Baggage does, but not age. Over this last year I think the age range was 21 to 36. But than again I'm getting so old my memory may be slipping (inside joke). Since I wait for women to ask me out this may have some effect on the age I see.

Humm for me going as young as 40 would be my limit but now if a hot stud hit on me and he was 39 that 40 thought would go right out the door...

Seriously I would not date anyone younger then my oldest or near their age...

Age doesn't always make u mature but experiences u had life can make u as mature as the person u want to date.

Yep! I threw out the rule book long ago. I could care less if my partner was 18 or 80. I've met 60 year old ladies that where much younger than I am. I've also met 20 year olds that were right up to my speed. I think having someone your own age these days may be a little old school thinking. We have changed so much in the last ten years that I find it to be an intellectual/experience thing more than anything else.

BTW my dog is only 4 years old and she is pretty hot. Not many chicks lick me behind the ears as sexy as she does.

Its funny but i've always dated older women and nothing evil has come out of it. I tend to find them more mature and understanding than the younger folks. Women are like fine wine, the seem to taste better as they age. B-)
