Do them how ever you want.

Since you asked, I will share how I wash dishes.

Pan of hot sudsy water, glasses first, dishes next, utensils next, then plates and bowls, pots and pans last. All rinsed under hot running water and left to dry in the dish drainer.

You guys are all wrong and all of you waste too much water.

Put the dishes on the floor...let the dogs lick them clean then put em up for the next time your relatives visit.

hehehehehe

You gotta admit...it is a solid plan that saves water.

:)

Yep i could go along with that..
sadly we don;t have a dog, so it will have to be the dishwasher.

but really If someone wanted to do them a different way than I did them, then they can do my dishes for me, cause i hate washing up.

My theory is move into a small apartment, this way you don't have room for lots of relatives. You then get invited to their big home for holiday dinners and the dishes aren't yours. And since nearly every apartment comes with a dishwasher so ...problem solved. If I had to hand wash...I wash in a sink of hot soapy water and rinse with hot water then air dry.

Hmm if someone is going to criticize my techniques ..they better be prepared to do it themselves.
That is all I need to say about that. spock

What's with all the yammering woman?...I am pretty sure I told you to go wash the dishes.

(Laughing as I run and duck out of the room.)

laugh
As long as you know to run we are good!

Well hell sometimes I fill the sink with hot soapy water and rinse under the running hot water other times I wash under the hot running water and rinse under it.... But then I use paper plates at home and use the same glass all day wash it before using it the next day..

All I can say if someone don't like the way I wash my dishes they can eat somewhere else......slaphead

When we have our family functions we all take something and make sure we clean our own and take it back with us.... we use paper plates and silver ware.... very little washing has to be done....

Myself I have not had a dishwasher in over 30 years........well except me...bigsmile

My grandmother, recenty passed, loved to tell
of her 'dishes' escapade on her honeymoon with
my strong-willed grandfather.

They were in a condo, she had made a candle-lit
dinner, all was perfect, their very first
meal together.

When they had finished, my grandmother got
up to clear the dishes.
"Would you like to help?" she asked him.
"Sure" he says.

He goes into the kitchen where everything
was sitting on the counter, and with one fell
swoop, pushes EVERYthing onto the floor,
dishes crashing, glass breaking, food flying.

"Don't ask me that ever again" he said
as he walked out.

He was a hoot.
And she never asked again :-)
They were married about 50 years.

Hand wash/scrub them in hot water, then off to the dishwasher to let cascade do it's job.

I actually like hand washing dishes though. I find it relaxing much of the time.

I admit....I am a bachelor.
I own 1 plate, 1 knife, 1 fork, 1 spoon, 1 glass and 1 coffee cup.
There is method to my madness.
I hate to wash dishes. If I owned more than one of each, they would sit in the sink till I ran out and I would cuss myself later when I had to wash them all.
My way.....I eat.......and if I wanna eat tommorrow....I wash the dishes!!!!!
Works for me!!!!!
And I never have a messy kitchen!!
 bigsmile

Ghost...if you ever plan on doinking some broad more than a couple of times, you are gonna have to get a second fork.

Extravagant...I know but, chicks like it when you think of them and splurge a little. Just make sure she pitches in some pocket change for the Banquet t.v. dinner you guys will split.

hehehehehehehe

And Soufie Baby....your grandpa was a douche. (I love you)
