First things first.... MOST of the people b!tching about "fakes" have already given up on the internet dating thing. Everyone of us knows that there will always be the random person who ain't what they say....same is true in actual real life. What makes a "real" person? Someone who don't play it up like they are perfect....(try finding one of those in the Politics forum) What really screws up people is thier concepts of perfect. "Must be this tall", "Must do this", " Must not do that"...it's crap. "Real" people make mistakes, say the wrong things, do stupid schitt. The trick is looking at thier imperfections alongside of the things they do well and see if it is in balance. If so...give em some love. More sexy talk!!! hot!

Someone who is honest enough to say that they aren't perfect but they are trying to be fair/ responsible/ and honest with me would seem more like a real person. A fake person would be pretty obvious...too good to be true. What qualities in a person (whether friends or dating) do you respect? Manners that reflect common sense and cultural awareness. Tenacity in the face of hardship. Faith when it is not just for show. Serenity when in stressful situations. Courtesy. Generosity in communication. Patience. Pleasantness. Upbeat Attitude. What qualities do you NOT like? Competativeness Overly solicitous Indecisivness Assumeing they know what I think or feel Expecting me to live down to someone elses bad behavior Resenting being treated like an equal Disrespectfulness |

ok..we hear about fake people and looking for a real man/woman What do you think makes a real man/woman? What qualities in a person (whether friends or dating) do you respect? What qualities do you NOT like? When I refer to "fake" people online, I am talking about people who are pretending to be someone or something they are not. For instance, a drug addict who is pretending to be drug free and rehabilitated. If you're not pretending to be someone you are not, then you are real. On top of that there are specific qualities that would be important to me such as honesty, self-respect and even a healthy dose of self-love. You can't love and respect someone who doesn't love and respect himself. |

The deal is to know your boundaries, and stay within those boundaries. If someone fits within those boundaries, then all other issues should be able to be talked through and worked out.

A person that can laugh. Especially a nervous laugh I find attractive. After I got this one resident up whose is about 90 I put her baby doll in her lap. The baby doll said, "Mama". She cracked up laughing.
