I give the nudge if I come across someone that seems interesting. However I got talking to someone last night, long story short I gave my MSN (stupid I know) and well I'll tell you it didn't turn out so good. We didn't talk for 2 minutes on MSN and he was straight in there looking for me to '' send pictures''. I won't be jumping straight in there again in a hurry, lesson learned!!

I do hope you reported him.

After all, that is against the rules here at Mingle.

if they were on MSN that is not Mingle. That is why it is not advisable to give out your personal email right away until you've gotten to know someone on here fairly well.

I have talked to two men from here off site - Both were totally polite and non pervy. but I took the time to get to know both first before communication off the site. get to know people on here for awhile first before communicating off site. that's the point of being able to mail on here. Always be suspicious of the motives of someone who wants you to communicate off site right away. Why? An email is an email. If they are on the up & up, why can't they message you on here?

You can't report someone for what they do off site.

No, but you can report them if that's the only reason on their on this site.

Pre-emptive, precautionary measure.

Ask Obama and Bush about that. :D

If you choose to give someone additional contact info, that would be your issue to deal with. Just block them if you don't like what's going on and move on.

They just look at my profile and move on. I was wondering, should I send an email just to see what they didn't find interesting? What do you guys think?

I do that too. It's not that I don't find a person interesting....just don't think based on what their profile states they like or dislike, etc....it is worth saying anything..........such as hi, how you doin? You know?

OK, Mrs. Technical. lol

I know this, you know this.

I'm saying for those who don't; it'd be good to be able to give others a heads up. Not everyone reads ALL the forum rules and policies.

Some leap in blindly, and just want to get right down to the Mingling.

I'm just saying. :X

Don't beat me up. :O

why bother, do you really want to know?

and why assume they didnt find you interesting?

I sometimes check profiles of people posting in the forums just to get an idea of where they are coming from, what part of the ocuntry they live in,,,etc,,,

I wouldn't get too paranoid about it. We aren't under surveillance as far as I know. The are enough conspiracy theories. The truth is out there. I like the profile idea. You don't get the 'take a picture' it will last longer because the profile already has a picture on it when you update it with your picture. laugh I think the asking the question of 'what you didn't like' interesting. One of the neat things about being human is we can adapt.waving

How are you going to give others a heads up? It's not as if you can mention their name on here to warn people about them.
