then we dissagree "i find it to hard to debadte in english, hehe but still i'm en an enlish forum" u can't disagree if it is a fact it is if it is not a fact, it is not in any language I understand what you mean though about trying to explain things in another language. It's hard to do! |

Pick a topic...ANY topic....once some shmuck Googles it, they will argue all day long with you on how wrong you are and how right they are cause they read it on the internet and everything on the internet is a FACT. I really like it when they provide a link to prove that they read it on the internet. I LOVE intellectual conversation. The challenge of understanding what I present is the fuel that drives me forward. It is not easy however and often leads me on long journeys with many tangents. These are some great forums were the participants tend to have a very high standard for source data. http://forums.randi.org/ |

The debate over fact and opinion just reminds me of "the sky is blue" parable.
I would disagree over Newton. Until shown otherwise, I do not see his laws being proven wrong. Rather, they are most likely incomplete, and new scientific knowledge and equipment might only be showing this. Even then, the chance of error goes up in proportion to complexity, and science is an attempt to codify and explain that which we do not understand which inherently includes a wide margin for error. This is why the scientific method was created: to reduce the risk of error to manageable levels through logic over speculation or trial and error. Science is about producing facts, and it uses deduction to constantly reduce margin of error until it find consistently reproducible results with an extremely low margin of error by taking into account the myriad of variables which affect the outcome. Newton had limited resources at his disposal. His margin of error was likely much higher than modern science for lack of proper tools or accurate scientific references. ^^^^This is an opinion. It includes reasoning to support the opinion, but no matter how convincing the argument is, it is not necessarily fact. Perhaps in the future it will be proven as fact or proven to be complete bunk. That remains to be seen. Until that time, it can never be more than just speculative opinion. Even then, there will be people who insist otherwise because some people just have to question everything without ever being satisfied. |

Well i would rather have a fact cause a fact is something that has occurred or is reality or true as a opinion is an opinion is a subjective belief that that something can be a fact but then again the opinion can be something that is not a fact as you can give a person A wrong answer or wrong opinion :)Too many opinions
disguised as facts can create a big mess too and also Everyone is entitled to his own opinions, but not his own facts.cause It means that facts are supported by evidence and agreed upon by the mass population ,Opinions obviously don't require evidence lolllllll to much brain thinking in the morning for me i need to relax :))) |
