funches, I have a feeling that by examining the word 'humility' you have taken its root and extended thought to another word: 'humiliation'. They have the same root, but these words have different meanings. "kic"...you're right again...humility is a form of self-humilitation ...it's the realization of something negative about oneself...why else would one seek to change their behavior or create lists to follow humility and humiliation have nothing to do with each other - there are online dictionaries that would help you and could have saved hours on cyber arguing on here I stated self-humiliation Humiliation and self humiliation are related (to each other)...However , neither is related to humility...You are confusing the two....The thread is about humility, not about humiliation of others or self .....If the thread was titled humiliation, much, if not all, you say would be correct.... Leigh...aren't you the one that place up a list of 50 things that you know is impossible for you yourself to follow all of them .... that list is just a way to beat yourself up sure seems like self-humiliation .... |

maybe i'm wrong but this is the way i understand it Humility = The art of stepping back for a moment and accepting that perhaps someone else may be better at it or knows more about it than yourself. Gracefully Humiliation = The act of reducing, abasement of pride, It can be brought about through bullying, intimidation, physical or mental mistreatment or trickery Humidity = sweaty nutsack  Great list Leigh
