I don't watch football except for the Super Bowl (sometimes)or a stray game.

I can get into it, understand the excitement, even played for a couple of years, but staying glued to anything like this for me would take away from my goals in life.

This might seem strangle coming from a guy who has lived in Canton Ohio but true. I was on a grown up flag football team with a couple of pros and even lived in Ozzie Newsome's neighborhood for a short time.

Sports are fascinating and anyone guy or gal who is into them I think have a great hobby.

Now boxing back in the 90's well that's another story.

is there a man out there who doesn't watch football? or at least is not totally obsessed by it? who could - miss a game (yes I uttered those words)??? to spend time with a woman?

just curious
I like football so this is not a problem for me. In fact, sometimes I am the one who says that I am watching the game!

Are you insane? I wouldn't miss a football game either. I just spent the last 4 hours watching two football games back to back.
hey girl! that's where u have been! I may be insane trying to find a non obsessed man good callrofl
I am glad you took my comment in the spirit it was meant. It's kind of funny as I dated a guy that didn't like football. He wanted to get romantic with me and I would say after the game dear. Yes, I am an obsessive football fan. I am sick; I need help!!!! laugh
that's hilariousrofl - and a good way to illustrate that men and women are more alike than not - either gender can be the obsessed fan!laugh

We become even more obsessed during playoff which is why I was watching the last 4 hours. You reminded me of a funny conversation I had with my old boss. He said the only reason I watched football was to watch the guy's butts. My response is yes especially when they huddle and I particularly like the tight ends. Tight ends is actually a position in football. rofl

I do like the little tight football and baseball pants, agreed

I always feel so left out when the "game" is on because I can't get that excited about it and the guys are all jumping around & yelling and I'm like....can we go home now?laugh

So were you a Browns or Steelers fan? Or neither? Answer carefully now....laugh

Ahhhhh.....boxing in the 90's.... I'll never forget the day a bunch of us got together for a party to watch the Holyfield-Tyson fight on pay-per-view when Holyfield lost part of his ear. That was a piece of history there.....

Hey There!
I HATE FOOTBALL! I would MUCH rather spend my time with a woman than a bunch of guys trying to prove their manhood vicariously through the actions of others!

THE BROWNS! shocked surprised frustrated Isn't it hard watching them every week when you already know who's gonna win? laugh

I'm SLIGHTLY familiar with the Wu-Tang Clan (not exactly my type of music). I can't say that there was anybody remotely famous watching with me that night. Well, unless maybe if you keep up with the latest FBI's most wanted lists. laugh noway

I LOATHE and ABHOR sports - and I'm certainly not gay - out in the real world, I don't even like being friends with guys (and, no, I'm not a homophobe, either).

Oh, Im a big fan of PLAYING sports to keep in shape and all that. Being part of a team, all good stuff. Mg, this is not the issue.

The WATCHING of football is not going to yeild those benefits. Once you are a sports fan by watching games on tv, you are just like anyone who watches what they like on tv. Not so noble as being part of the health and community of 'athletics'.

Great to have interests tho. I watch movies on tv, and shows I like. Im certainly not condemning tv.

exactly I prefer to DO rather than watch. that is kinda the point I was trying to make before when I was saying that I have been an athlete most of my life so I have no need to live vicariously where sports are concerned

There are apparently several men on here that don't like sports. Good idea for this thread, sweetest, as it brought all of them out.
