i know a couple guys who don't watch football

and u are from planet earth?

Well actually no, I'm not but that's not important laugh

yeah, a couple of earth men who don't sit around watching football. Their taken, go figure!

hmmmm - I can see why they're taken:wink:

honestly I don;t care if a man enjoys some sports - I enjoy some sports and played sports all my life

but the total obsession with football turns me off - that doesn't mean I'm at all opposed to taking in an occasional game - I actually enjoy that....the key word is o-c-c-a-s-i-o-n-a-l

I really don;t

I think it's because I am an athlete - I never talked to a non athlete for longer than 5 minutes

that I know of anyway - it's just been my life for so long. I really get turned off by the football obssesion tho

it's like - you meet a great guy - you are totally in sync - and then find out that he'd rather talk to the boyz about football than shop for shoes

totally depressingsad

is there a man out there who doesn't watch football? or at least is not totally obsessed by it? who could - miss a game (yes I uttered those words)??? to spend time with a woman?

just curious
i kick all those phuckin ********. Football had never been a reason to skip date. But if its basketball match, I'd skip my own wedding.

it's funny you should say that because I like jocks - it's obsessed fans is where the turn off comes in - whether or not they were/are jocks IRL

some of us (athletes & former athletes) are getting enough - got enough of sports IRL so don;t need to obsess -that is how I am

i believe obsessive fans aren't jocks.
unless you count sitting on the couch eating crap as their sport.

Football, like any other interest, should be shared. If you like something, you should just do it - and if you can do it with that special someone, even better! :)

TBH - I follow one team during the football season, and don't find myself watching many games because it's just not a priority for me. I'll forego watching a game if there are plans for something else to do, no problem.

I'm sure there are some who don't like football. It's probably best to find those men, rather than trying to make them miss games they enjoy watching.
agreed. But cant you girls join us guys watchin the games? Even though you dont have any interest. The same way, some guys dont like to go shopping with their girl. I hate shopping. It takes hours for a chick to choose somethin. Grrrr I'd rather choose an agreement in which both the parties agree to join in each others interest on every weekend. This way they can understand each other.

women & men should have their separate hobbies. The last thing I need is some stressed out guy ruining my shopping trip! agree to have your own separate hangouts! bigsmile

I think that is true sometimes

but I would not be happy in a relationship that invoves an obsession with being a spectator to the extent that many men are

been there done that in relationships & it didn't work

again because of the no compromise obsession factor

and I know Ima challenge because I am also not interested in a man who feels that he is compromising to be with me

I prefer someone who truly doesn't care that much one way or the other about pro sports - an attitude similar to my own. I find a shared compatibility to be the healthiest approach

all jesting aside:wink: flowerforyou
