I get really silent...as I try to count to 10 ...hundred...the kids generally start walking on egg shells about that time and the co-workers...leave me be until I am ready to talk.  
well, some but not too much...I really get silent because I try hard to make sure it is not just me over-reacting to something....'cause, well yea...been known to do that...those darn words are so hard to retract once they are out. |

I usually find someone to vent with as stuffing the anger didn't work for me because it would eventually turn to rage. He lets me rant, and get it out, and just kinda nods, and offers a few comments, and eventually he starts joking, and gets me laughing.
He is the best boyfriend ever! 
I have this female friend who is deeply in love with her girlfriend. I had her cracking up this morning. She gets so stressed at work because she really works her butt off. She has really done her best to be super woman. I told her I had tried that super man act myself. It was an old thing I heard but it was brand new for her about the difference in filtered and non filtered cigarettes. A guy once told me that smoking a filtered cigarette was like sucking a nipple through a night gown and that is why he liked non filtered cigarettes. She said she couldn't wait to tell that one to her girlfriend. |

I just give them the silent treatment...that gives me time to cool off and gives them a chance to wonder where I am, and usually that will be there first clue..

Yeah, the disadvantage of being so honest is sometimes hurtful...Sometimes i like to find an anonymous person to vent too. not totally anonymous, but someone who is not in my inner circle..so you dont have to really hurt anyones feelings...but you still get it out of your system...I guess that could be classified as gossip, but Ive always felt if I am part of the gossip, it doesnt really count, its just a person venting about how they have been hurt.. |
