that is a common one get them all the time only the names and the medical conditions have been changed.another I receive all the time are the women in foreign countrys, needing you to send them money for a plane ticket, and to bribe some officials so they can come to this country, they can move in with you making you the happiest man in the world. the best ones however come from the third world countrys, a lawyer will inform you of the many millions of dollars you have inherited, just as soon as you send him his 5,000 dollar fee he will have the money transfered to you, did I forget to mention you must also give him full access to your bank account for this to work.

My nephew, in an act of monumental stupidity, fell for a scam like that. He was facing serious jail time, the sheriff was pushing hard for him to be convicted, but the Judge just said "He (my nephew) is stupid and naive, he wasn't trying to commit a crime".

I received an email one day that was supposedly from Shell Oil, it took you to a website that looked like the official shell oil website and then it asked you to invest in a new chemical they were bringing on the market soon. That same day I received two Nigerian Scam Letters from a couple of Sons of Princes in Africa wanting to give me 25% of millions of dollars to help them get their money out of the country. I did a copy and paste of those two letters and sent them as a reply to the Shell Scam and said I am not interested but these two guys might be.

Hi Lakeman, I have gotten these before and have gotten tired of the damage it does to inocent people who will fall for such a trick. If you want to really fight the battle of scammers out there go to this site and see if yours is one that they are looking for if not report them. No one can protect us if people don't take the time to turn in scams. http://www.sec.gov/investor/pubs/cyberfraud.htm
Good luck, you may just be saving some poor soul that is not so smart as some are. flowerforyou
