I haven't seen my grown kids in quite some time. They are both quite a distance away. The daughter is farther away than the son. It has been a long time since I have seen my grand kids.

My grown children are only 20 and 22
My son is 4000 ks away but he normally comes up a couple of times a year so I will see him for around 8 weeks or so, My daughter lives in the same town and her and her man are here most days to say hi, have dinner or just to see what we are up to.. She might just come around to grab one of her brothers or sisters to help her clean her house. so yep I still see them, hopefully that will never change as Im not ready to let them go yet |

My older son passed away a few years ago. Sad! My daughter and her husband and 3 children live quite a distance away...But my youngest son lives nearby and we're really close. He's been a good companion and a good friend to me since my husband passed away. A few months ago my son had a 2nd brain tumor and the prognosis didn't look good for awhile. Thankfully he was finally transported to a big-city hospital/university where the doctors knew how to operate on risky areas of the brain. He's home now and doing great! YEA!

Do you see your grown kids very often? Do they live close to you? How about grandkids? I don't see my son but maybe once a month or less. My youngest daughter I see every few weeks. My middle daughter lives in another state so I don't see her but every few years. I talk to the girls all the time but my son not so much. |

Do you see your grown kids very often? Do they live close to you? How about grandkids? Since the recession, my daughter lost her job, my son lost most of his hours so they're home living with me. It's great, my kids and I have a good relationship. |

NO,,,I do not see THEM,,,as much as I'd LOVE to...
I see them all yearly,,some,,a few times,,and some many times,,,but,,even the many,,,is not long enough to really feel I have shared my life much with them....so....its hard to age,,and feelthem ages as well,,and to not see those special moments ,,like a grand babies first steps,,first sentence,,and so on,,,those moments can never be made-back to have happen again,,,so,,missing,IS much in my mind,,always,,, |

my eldest is here in town, and my favorite person on this planet. we had her second baby yesterday...such an amazing experience to help a child come into this world. she even named her after me!!!
my next child is in college three hours away, so i don't see her as often as i'd love to, but we do still get some quality time tossed in.\ my son is in afghanistan. *sighs* the other three are at home, and i see them every day :) |

Unfortuneately I am one of those coast to coast comuter Grandmas so no I don't see my children and grands nearly as much as I would like.
Was really TOUGH when they were going through their 20's & Baby's stages but I am pretty proud that they did just fine and everyone has adjusted to them not being the center of my day to day. Believe me I thought it would kill me for a while. lol But along with the great technolgy , so love Skype and Grandma Grams, prepaid post office boxes which I just adore stuffing, and discounted airline sites we have some great visits and forged bonds regardless of the distance. Just had six days where my Son spent time with my elderly Dad and I between Middle East deployments TDY in San Diego. **** A huge Thank you to Petco park employees that helped us have and extraordinary night at the ballpark.**** With Dad's Alzheimer and other health issues truely precious moments that we might not have truely appreciated as much if it wasn't so rare. |

Do you see your grown kids very often? Do they live close to you? How about grandkids? Some of them. My eldest daughter lives in the same apt. complex, so I see her and my two teenage granddaughters almost daily. Second daughter lives far away; I might get to see her and grandsons once a year. Third daughter calls every weekend; I see her every few months, along with three more granddaughters. Fourth daughter lives out of state; I also see her and three grandsons about once a year. Son and granddaughter and grandson live about an hour away; I see them every few months and he calls me every few weeks. Fifth daughter and infant grandson just got her first apartment in the next town. I see her at least once a month and we are in constant contact on FB. Two youngest daughters still live at home, but eldest of the two is going away to school next year. We're a close knit family. |
