That enemy thinks hes pretty funny doesnt he?
I was trying to press one of my birthday roses, and I put the book with the rose in it, under the couch, (which I can always lift by myself on one end) but this time, I pulled out my lower back....AND my ride to church, had to cancel today.  Guess im having church here today, and like I have been doing starting at 11:00 on Sundays, its all about the bible.  I will read Genesis AGAIN today, and beyond. Luv....Personally, I would suggest the following , in order to get started in studying the bible: Resd 3 chapters from the OLD Testament daily (starting with Genesis}. Read 3 chapters from the NEW Testament daily (starting with the book of John). Read 3 chapters daily from Psalms. Read 3 chapters daily from Proverbs. OR...if you'd rather....you can read just a chapter or 2, at a time daily. Luv....God is not expecting you to follow some strict "religious" formula, when it comes to studying His Word. God just wants you to WANT to..not feel you HAVE to....OK? Remember...when we are born again, we did not join a religion(which just offers a bunch of religious rules to follow)... but instesd, we joined in RELATIONSHIP back with with God thru Christ Jesus. If you are having a hard time getting started,Ask God to put the WANT to in your heart to study His Word....and God Will. After we are born again, there should not be a drudgery...but a sincere desire for God's Word. But also know, that the enemy will TRY to come along and steal the Word, and your desire for the Word, but only if you ALLOW him to. One more thing ,Precious: Let's say today on sunday, you have been invited to go dine on a delicious feast of deep southern fried chicken  mash potatoes with cream gravy,  green bean and french onion casserole,  a scrumptous ceasar salad with yummy garlic croutons,  hot buttered fresh baked rolls with real butter, peach cobbler topped with french vanilla ice cream , and fresh brewed iced tea with lemon......  well..... I am sure you would most definitely go , and get noursished and filled up on this scrumptous sunday feast being offered to you!!! BUT ....... if on monday, tuesday, wednesday ,thursday,friday, and saturday , you ate nothing but some junk food each day for the rest of the week,  you will be pretty weak and undernourished by the time Sunday rolls around again. Same goes for our spirit. Feed the spirit the nourishing Word of God daily, and the spirit man will flourish and grow. But Feed the spirit just on sundays only, and the spirit man will grow pretty weak. Ok..that was your bible lesson for today.   Love you , Luv. Have a Great Sunday Now!!! |

Church was very moving today.
Our pastor is really funny.. and he makes things perfectly easy, to understand. I wish he, would read the bible to me, so I could "get it" more. I understand the words I am reading, but not the actions people were taking. I guess thats why Jesus, had to die for our sins. Sounds like in Genesis, everyone was a sinner. |
