How many times have you seen a person park in a handicap space just to get closer to the store so they wouldn't have to walk so far?or park next to one store then get in their car (or truck) and back out of the parking spot drive 40 or 50 feet to the next store and pull as close to the door as possible?I've seen young and old do it.I know some people have trouble walking but most of the ones I see doing it walk just fine.I wish I could give the one's that park in the handicap zones(without the sticker, card or license plate) a ticket or tow their car away.Give them a break people!(the one's that are handicapped)

My friends wife wanted a treadmill.
He pulls her out of bed early and at 7 a.m. he pulls up into the farthest possible parking spot at Academy Sports and Outdoors and gets out of the truck. She asked "What are you doing?" He said "We are here to get your tread mill" She said "You can park closer. I don't wanna walk that far" He said "Get back in the truck" She didn't get the treadmill and has never been dumb enough to pull that weak crap again. Humans are lazy and thoughtless slugs. |

Some have bad memories too. I park closer, whenever possible, because its easier to remember that I am in front of the door and to see my car when I come back out the store.
The handicap thing, thats rude, but I Dont see that alot where I live. |

Yes, it bugs me as I have handicap plates due to my knees...dang motorcycles! |

The handicap thing, thats rude, but I Dont see that alot where I live. It happens around here a lot. As well as the people who think they can pull up in front of the store and park there, rather than finding a spot. |

This looks like a job for . . . I have a mobility problem. I also walk with a cane. I also have a handicapped placard for my car. People look at me when I park in a handicapped parking place like I have no business parking there. Even though I do put my placard on my rearview mirror so it shows that I`m allowed to park there. I see people parking in the handicapped places that don`t have any mobility problems or the placard displayed in their car. |

Before my knee surgery,I had a temporary handicapped permit and the nasty looks I would get from some people.
I see a lot of elderly people that have them and they don't "look" like they have a handicap. This does not mean that they don't. I guess we need to be careful not to assume that someone does not have one. I had to first, get a note from my doctor and then stand in line at DMV to get mine. |

An excellent suggestion! Hope the campus police follow up! |

some 'handicaps' cant be seen, so people have no biznez 'lookin' at you anyway. Sorry you get that. My handicap is not seeable, and on good days I park as a regular customer because I like walking. |

I know there's lots of people that have a handicap that can't be seen,a friend of mine that smoked could walk ok for a while but soon lost his breath and had to use a power buggy at the store so I won't report someone for parking in one but do hope they (the lazy people)get caught and have to show proof or pay a fine, and with the way everything is now a days I'm sure no one wants to pay a fine,I know a couple of people but sure there are more that borrow the cards just to park closer, they should get double the fine!I'd walk a mile or more before parking in one, besides, walking's good for you if you're able to do it.My hat's off to the handicapped people that give up their spot for a lazy person, you're special! I just hope the lazy person appreciate's what you've done for them.

Snotty, aren't y'all. There's plenty of handicaps that cannot be seen, young and old. Mom has MS, and while she looks perfectly fine, the heat fricks her up pretty bad. We park in the spot, but if something was forgotten, I will run back out to the car.
If you have problems with it, call the cops. They'll take care of it politely, with out all the huffiness. |

I ride a motorcycle but still treat people like I'd like to be treated, but some of the younger (and mayber a few older one's)will park place's they shouldn't,the college near me (WVU) has a special parking lot for biker's and they have to pay to park there so I'm guessing they get a ticket if they park someplace they shouldn't.Maybe more schools should do that.If they park in the handicap space they should get a ticket. nice, i'm usually on a bike as well. what's funny to me is all the nasty looks i get if i park in a regular spot. i have to license the bike, pay the inspection fees, and all taxes just like a car or truck, but if i take up a whole parking spot, sheesh. i try to spot a security guard and ask where to park, or just find a spot out of the way |

I am eligible for a placard to park in handicap but I choose not to get it. There are times when I could really use it though. I do it to push myself so I will walk better.
I don't pay attention to the handicappers. I figure if they park there they are handiczp, who am I to judge them anyway.... |
