People DO become more attractive as you learn to know them

i'm wondering how many men would honestly agree with this statement.
then again some would probably call me shallow, so maybe i'm the anomaly.

It does happen, though. My last gf was totally outside my normal "physical-type-attraction" parameters, but she was just so intelligent, so creative, that she made herself more and more attractive to me just by being herself.

As a sideline, I now find myself unintentionally attracted to people with her kind of "look"....it's like I added a whole new "type" into my preferences list....

people DO become ugly as you learn to know them

this one however, i do agree with.

. . .

You've made it very clear here many times what you do and don't find attractive. But, just because someone may not become more attractive to you over time, doesn't mean it won't happen to others.

Can she make a mean lasagne? Cause if so, I am in lust.

If I had to make a choice between brains or beauty, I would have to go with brains. It is amazing how much more attractive someone becomes when I can have an intellectual conversation with him and really respect who he is. Part of attraction is the chemistry between two people. Lust will fade if there is nothing else to keep me intrigued.

Ditto.

Yes, you are definitely shallow. At least from what I've seen. No offense intended.

Ladies and gentlemen. Would you choose beauty or brains. If he or she wasn't the brightest star, but had the looks and body that made you weak verses someone who wasn't so nice looking but had everything you were looking for in a relationship which would you choose to be with and why? Be honest now.

I guess I'd have to say brains. But I'm sorry if he's Quasimodo. I don;t care how brilliant he is-- no deal. There has to be some kind of physical attraction too. But if all beauty and nor brains or personality. I couldn;t go there.

Beauty and Brains both disappear with age.

Just being honest.

A beautiful psyche for me. Where they think positively, enjoy life, understand that everyone has a different path in life and it is not their job to make judgement of it, etc... I guess it would be a beautiful heart too because without heart a person cannot show others love and respect.

I haven't ever liked pretty boys. They are fussier than girls about their figure and hair and suchfrown sick

Ok, let me throw this at you.

Those who chose beautiful. Your telling me that if something happened to their looks their out the door? Beauty certainly has to go deeper than appearance.

Brains. So if something happens to their thought process, your done?

I see some of these answers as being a little selfish folks.

It was just a hypothetical question. Guess we would all like to believe that if something happened to someone we love we wouldn't leave their side because of it. Be it looks or brains. I don't expect people to response to a question I ask the way I would. To each his own. It's been interesting read everyone's replies.

I think I know where you were coming from and it was a good question, but I was a little let down by some of the answers I must admit. It almost felt like I was watching Shallow Hal.

 I like your honesty. Some would see at as an attack, i prefer to view it as you are challenging others to look inside themselves and just be honest. You rock in my book dude. Anyone who understands depth of the heart, or honestly makes effort to better understand it and themselves and more importantly make the right changes for the right reasons, earns my respect.

drinker Cheers dude (i'm not much on drinking but i would buy you a beer)
