Just because I'm over 50 does not mean i have to stop living. I still
want romance in my life. i guess it depends on where you live as to the quality of activites there are for your age.along with the people
you meet .Meeting people in the bar seen is no longer for me,and going to bingo halls is'nt it either.then theres also the issues of
race,so whats the deal?

I am 55 and I am happier than I have been in years. My sons are grown and I am free to do whatever I please. I came here two years ago and Vivian and the Topicless group made me feel very welcome. im 47yrs old and a grandmother of 3Plus another on the way
i dont feel old
and not to long ago my oldest granddaughter left a coment on facebook and said she felt old for being 11. so i responded back i didnt feel old for being a grandmother

my mom is 76yrs old. doesnt look her age at all
and still works 40hours a week and helps with my grandkids and takes care of her rentals
she had a customer one yr that thought she was 35yrs old (thanks mom thats makes me 5yrs old LOL)

MY MOM
has
4 grandsons
1 granddaughter

3greatgranddaughters
2great grandsons+another greatgrandson on the way

I have 2 living grandsons..aged 18
2-granddaughters ages 13 and 14
3-step granddaughter ages 8-14-17
AND numerous Self-adopted (friends of my g-kids)grandkids !!
I won't even go into how many grandkids and great..great greats my parents have!
Love them all!!

I'm 69 and still very active.. I have 4 children, ages 45, 47,48 and almost 50 plus 3 grandkids, ages 19, 21 and 26.. I will never give up looking for someone to share the rest of my life with.. I love being retired, can do what I want and when I want, and travel a lot.. Age has never been a "big deal" to me..I have made many friends on here, young and old, and hoping to meet up with a couple while on vacation out west next week...

And Terry is one of the nicest grandpa's on here..what a beautiful baby!!!!

I am 54 and still a growing boy. I am now just learning stuff that I should have learned in kindergarten. Who says just because you are over 50 that you still don't have some growing up to do. Guess I am just a late bloomer because I am still maturing but I am really enjoying this second childhood.

That is just awful...surely your kids want you to be happy??? They can have their lives and be happy, but just because you are the 'MOM' you can't be? Let me at them..
Seriously I have 3 sons, and as protective as they are at times..they want me to be happy. Or maybe they just don't want to take care of me??? Whatever..even my grandkids want me to have a man in my life. They are all very supportive of me and even are looking for a man for me...Lord...please make him rich!!! They all know I'm on this site and are always teasing me about our 'love ins'..

Just recently I was able to give some information to my daughter that my mom gave to me one time. It was answer I had learned in Math but saw in a new light. In our meetings will call this a moment in clarity. My daughter said that her brother and her hadn't seen me in some time. I told her that she was always welcomed to come see me. And then I gave her the Math answer that my mom gave me. "It is as just as far from point "A" to point "B" as it is from point "B" to point "A".

Are we supposed to keep counting the years? I'm afraid I gave up counting years ago, and even when I do peek at the number - it never feels quite right anyway! Then it's kind of a surprise when you find out what the new number is each year! How exciting!!!

Growing old is no better treat than growing up! I refuse either idea as both impractical and pointless. But I wonder if this will change the day my son brings a new life into the world!? Time will tell...

It sucks getting old, but it beats the alternative.

Are there any mixers sponsered for the 50 and over,anywhere in Omaha or Councilbluffs, it seems like this would be a great setting and maybe people would not feel so awkard about meeting especially if its in a public setting,something to think about you could always leave if its not for you.

Talk to Don, Old Sage...he's from there..he knows everyone...y'all can get a meet together,,,,go for it! if you make it....they will come.
