Good morning. I am glad to be off work today and tomorrow. When I go back into work Thursday morning we will be under new management. I am glad we finally got bought out. We were under the board of directors under a non-profit status but Thursday we become corporate. Instead of just trying to survive under just the county we will be part of of 15 different nursing homes. Which means since the new management pays on different pay days we will actually get an extra paycheck this month. I was glad to hear that we gained workmen's comp, dental, health and the option to get lunches at work. The new people said they were going to fill the nursing home to capacity and within 5 years we will get a new building within a two mile vicinity of where this building is located. One that probably doesn't have the asbestos warnings on the wall. The amazing thing is how they assumed the half a million dollars in debt the old management left them. We were told there would be changes so we really don't what to expect in some regards.

I am wondering if my IT college courses might help me in the new structure since I found out that our reports will be done through a punch computer panel instead of paper. I would love to add onto my computer repair and networking skills by going back to school. Maybe I will get a chance to run some Cat 5 through the present building or the one that will be built.

Good morning, Carole. Have a good time in the gym. I will be going to our new morning NA meeting at 9AM which meets at the church across the street where our AA meeting meets in the evenings.

Congrats Roy!! Sounds like a win win situation to me! My niece works in a nursing home in Lubbock..they just sold out too to a bigger corporation. Maybe things are looking up for everyone. Morning Carole
