Topic: Where in the Genesis is Jesus

things to ponder

in Genesis 1:1, God created the Heavens and The Earth...so wouldn't anything other than the Earth constitute as being the Heavens or in that case Heaven ...

would Man first attempt to go into space or the Heavens be the repeat of the story "The Tower of Babel" and wouldn't "The Mir" be the actual Tower of Babel that suceeded beyond the story in the bible

so therefore wouldn't anything beyond Earth as in Heaven such as God and Angels constitute as being Aliens

Space isn't heaven. Heaven has been hidden from our eyes, we are not worthy to look upon the greatness of heaven or therein.

Cowboy...you may feel that you are unworthy to view Heaven but that's just a sign of you having low self esteem...unfortunely I don't suffer from that...but either way God and the angels still would be aliens

but anyway it's the bible that states that God created the Heavens and the Earth...if Space were not the Heavens or Heaven then the bible would most likely state "In The Beginning God create the Heavens and The Solar System" ...apparently whoever wrote the bible didn't have the technical insight that Man would one day travel beyond the Earth into the Heavens ...er without having to die first

Didn't say it was in Genesis, you quit making stuff up lol. All Genesis is, is the creation of heaven and Earth with very limited information on what was created in or on both places. Gives a broad spectrum of things, doesn't get greatly into detail. It does not say, God creation the whales, then he created the sharks, then he created the dogs, ect ect. Just gives information on a broad level. And why would it have to say that in Genesis on if Jesus the word, our lord has always been or if it doesn't? That is irrelevant to Genesis. Genesis is the creation of Earth and Heavens, not the creation of God and the word.

I have absolutely no low self esteem your highness. It's called being humble. It's about treating others on a greater level then oneself, not thinking of oneself as being greater then another. For no one is greater then another, we all have our different faults in different ways. And no God and the angels would not be aliens. Aliens are something/someone foreign to a place. If anyone would be foreign that would be us, for God and the angels walked this Earth before we did.

Didn't say it was in Genesis,

then why bring it up if it's not in Genesis ....this thread is trying to right the exact passage in the bible where Jesus indisputably unquestionably made his first biblical debut....your attempts to rewrite Genesis to fit your version of Christianity only points to a close mind and/or lack of faith

if you want to be humble then only speak for yourself and don';t include others in your vision of unworthyness...

if someone hacked into Jesus's Computer and could see through his webcam into Heaven and gave you the url to it....would you not go to it?

The thread was talking about just the mention of Jesus in Genesis, which Jesus is mentioned in Genesis, which I've shown. The statement of Jesus always being was just merely a side note, but you'll respond on it to get things off track, into left field, and definitly off topic of the thread in hopes the train thought will get lost out in the middle of no where and will be lost.

"Cowboy 3" I wasn't referring to you I was talking to "Cowboy 1" ...

I know that misery loves company but just because he feels unworthy to look upon Heaven that others may not hold this same view about themself and that perhaps he should refrain from dragging all of Mankind down to his unworthyness level......

if Cowboy 1 has such low self esteem that he feels that he is unworthy to look upon Heaven ....then what the heck is he going to do if he gets into Heaven...keep his eyes closed?,..and float around bumping into other people spirits for all eternity? ...you 3 Cowboys are going to whine up getting casted out of Heaven and have to roommate with Satan ...so try and get some consulting for Cowboy 1"s self esteem problem before this prophecy is full filled

Genesis 18

1And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

Notice, and the LORD appeared, this would be Jesus Christ in case you weren't aware.

** DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS **

It is obvious (or should be, after three pages of argument) that Funches doesn't believe that Jesus is mentioned in Genesis. You aren't going to convince him otherwise, so why bother? HE IS NOT LOOKING FOR ANSWERS. It's a trap to make believers look insane or stupid. Every verse will be taken out of context or twisted ... every statement will be turned to make you look ridiculous. You're "casting pearls before swine" and just wasting your time.

Here's a Wiki entry for ya:

"Troll (Internet): In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion."

sorry Cowboy.. but the Lord in "Genesis 18" could have only been referring to The Father... unless of course can you provide a passage from Genesis that states otherwise

translated that means...close your mind to all that are not of your Faith

no sh_t?

You aren't going to convince him otherwise, so why bother? HE IS NOT LOOKING FOR ANSWERS.

my mind is open...all you have to do is provide a passage in Genesis where it states anything about the existence of three God heads

It's a trap to make believers look insane or stupid.

I wish I could take credit for that...but the authors of The New Testament beat me to it

Every verse will be taken out of context or twisted ...

perhaps "passage twisting" explains why there are so many different denominations of Christians

every statement will be turned to make you look ridiculous.

that's because giving statements about Jesus that are not in Genesis instead of supplying passages about Jesus that are in Genesis is destined to make one look ridiculous

You're "casting pearls before swine" and just wasting your time.

oink oink

God please forgive "alterette" ...for she knows not what she type ..

but anyway are you finish having your connipton fit so that we can get back on topic and find where in the Genesis is Jesus?

I completely understand and agree with this. I don't respond for the sake of Funches, I respond for the sake of the other readers who are here for answers. He just brings up good discussions that others may have the same questions and or thoughts. I thank him for questioning the bible in every way. Gives me reason to look specific things up that I learn from and can possibly teach someone else here that is wanting to learn rather then just argue for the sake of arguing.

That wouldn't make much sense. God our father is the head of everything, he is top dog. Lord comes second eg., Jesus Christ the SON second in line.

so anyone that question Christian belief automatically becomes a Troll ....Troll is actually a substitute for the term Heretics ...in todays society it's no longer politically correct for Christians to refer to others not of their faith as being Heretics...probably because once upon a time Christians use to torture and murder them

these type of Troll posts only proves how those same type of self-rigtheous horrors are only a religious belief away ...and that is why each and every belief no matter the subject matter religious or not must be debated

You aren't a troll for questioning Christianity, even Christians do that. You are a troll because you ask a question you know isn't answered in Genesis and pretend that you have disproven Christianity. You have even said yourself that you'll believe in Christianity if we can prove the trinity is explicitly described in Genesis, while you know it's not. You aren't serious about this, you aren't trying to learn anything, you aren't trying to educate anyone, you are just trying to stir up trouble. That's why she said you are a troll.

that's my point, when it comes to Lords Jesus is not "the top dog" ...this is why Genesis was referring to only The Father ....and for you to suggest otherwise then supply a passage from Genesis that states otherwise.....

can you? ...if not.....then you are once again making up stuff that's not in Genesis
