So in other words, if you pray to God that justice be done on Earth, then he might intervene in human affairs and see to it that the no injustice is done? If all good people prayed for that? Probably. All because a human requested it? He loves us, so yeah. God himself would allow injustices to be done if these things aren't pointed out to him by a mortal human? Once again, you reveal that you haven't read the Bible. We have free will, so God allows us to exercise it. Satan can send his angels out to work evil in the world. God has us give the marching orders to angels. If we don't ask them to intervene in the world on our behalf, they won't. Because WE didn't ask, not because God didn't want them to help us. God believes in liberty and freedom and won't directly interfere in our lives unless we request it. Do you need to be specific and pray that justice is done for certain people, or can you request that justice be done for everyone? I would guess that you should be specific. Jesus said that prayer should be a very personal thing which included contrition for your wrongs against others and asked for forgiveness, as well as asking for material things like enough resources to make it through another day. Justice, as per the law of karma or cause, will always be done. It's automatic. Change in circumstance or situation can only happen after change from within happens. That would be change in attitude, attention, intention, etc. That is where 'prayer' comes in. Prayer, is petition to the universal mind (God). God is the "thinking stuff" from which all things are made. Prayer is attention and intention and visualization. Thoughts will manifest into reality. |

I believe there is power in the spoken word, so personally I would not curse someone else. I do pray in favor of people, even people who try to harm me. I see this thread as asking for our opinions, not a contest to see who is "right", "wrong" or "superior". I wish everyone would stop fighting and insulting each other.

I was just scanning my FB page and there was a prayer wishing misery and death on someone they felt deserved it 
First, off no one can determine another's life or death deservance, period.
But to me this shows an unhealthy mind, one that feels justified in determining whether another human deserves this life. Who are they to feel they have this right? People who are miserable and dead themselves. Did you ever hear that misery loves company? |

Did you ever hear that misery loves company? people also believe in a concept of 'justice' that is in line with the old testament as in an eye for an eye so they feel misery should have misery returned not saying I agree, but thats just how I think it happens that people wish bad things on others, or pray bad things for them,,whatever you want to call it |

If it was really true that Trex was a chicken shouldn't there be gigantic worm fossils or have worms always had no bones? Why do some people call other people chicken when some chickens aren't really that tame? Do some worms have teeth? If Trex was a chicken why is he always depicted with teeth? I have never saw a chicken with teeth before. I used to live in Misery but then I moved to Arkansas.
I think it was just that show me state attitude that I had trouble dealing with some times.
