Does anyone else seem to get friend requests out of nowhere?

I mean I'm a friendly guy and I don't like turning people down as friends. But at least send me an email or two before friending me out of the blue. I like to get to know the people I consider as friends.

It's the same with Facebook...people want friends even though they don't know them, to look like they are popular. Just my opinion.

Totaly agree with ya.Wait till they put ya on their fav list.And never even say hi!

Yeah it is kinda depressing when you get perved by a ton of people and none of them at least say hi. If I see them perve me twice in a couple days I'll send an email and introduce myself. Cause some are just shy.

Nujes are not so bad,you can remove them.But you can not remove a fav.

I think the use of friends on the web site is often confused with a favorites option, especially when they come out of the blue from people you never spoke to! Can't quite remember but is there functionality that being on a friends list enables like being able to see more profile pics or something like that?

Friend requests/nudges from out of nowhere are very much rampant in this site. Some of these when ignored even come to the point of sending YM requests (yes, my ignorance made me a mistake of using my ID as an account name here).

I guess some people do not have the decency to follow unspoken acceptable standards when it comes to sending friend requests. And sorry to say this, but in my experience these people, most often than not, turned out to be scammers.

When someone who viewed my profile does not initiate a conversation, I consider him not interested in me so I just often ignore - unless the person is someone I have an interest to know.

Some people (or a lot) haven't been on the site for over a month, and may or may not be a memeber or come back. I know if you friend or nudeg or even email they will get a notice to there email account they set-up. But good to know that friending and nudging can ignore people that you don't know. I used it as a hello! Viewing a profile is just that.

Happens a lot, the easy answer is delete. Most of the "out of the blue' ones I get are from far away places, leave it at that.

Delete or block.
