cyotes callin, bob whites, wiperwill, tree frogs , bullfrogs, just a few sounds that fill the night air. Kids chasing lightining bugs, catchin toads, turtles.

Yes, you guys and gals who live in the country...
Some of you really have it made...but, I know that life in the country can be rough too...I appreciate the hard work of living in the country more than all the garbage from people I have to deal with that comes from the city...

At least in the country, you already know ahead of time what the mountain lions, bears and rattlesnakes want.....
But, in the city, it is harder to know what the intentions are of so many people, there are human predators, the coyotes, jackals and hyenas of society...

I know I am just lucky to be alive, for so many reasons,
(for one)...
back in the early 70's, after I went to Woodstock,
I was a wild child hitchhiking across country, naive
and trusting, like so many other young people,
while people like ted bundy were trolling for more victims.

Some very young innocent people never got to get married and make love to their husband or wife...
Some people never got to see their babies being born,
and never got to hear them cry for the very first time...
or ever.

So, many things to be thankful for,
and so many people and things to pray for...
but we can save that for another topic,
cause I know I am getting off the subject...

i would love to learn how to do canning... my mother used to do it when i was a kid and i remember helping her but no one does it anymore and i would love to do it esp with tomatoes.... i havent had tomatoe gravy over rice in a lonnnnnnnggggg time

stopped by moms yesterday. she was puttin up corn cuttin off cobb, and whole ears. I ate a few ears,had some fresh cucumbers and onions in viniger. Fresh garnen veggies are like the best.

I've lived in the city and I've lived in the country which is where I live now.
I love the country for its peace and tranquility.There's too much hustle and bustle in the towns and cities for me. Give me the country any day.

bugs: I hav a bunch of chigger bites right now . Itches too. Those little critters can cause allot of discomfort.I have tried all the remidies. Just best to put on spray.
