Which one's smarter?

Meow if you ask me, I'd say dogs. I mean, they sorta kinda know how to speak certain languages. Albeit, "come here," "venha aqui," and even "viens ici."

Now with that said, maybe cats are so smart they can hear us, but don't care because all they want to do is make us look stoopid by being a semi-slave to them.

I dont know. I think dogs are easier to train though.

Definitely the latter. Cats can be trained, but only if they feel like it. It's easier to train them when they're kittens though. But goldfish can be trained too, so IDK if that's a good indication of intelligence. lol

I would think cats are smarter because they are more independent.

I'm a bit biased and would probably side with dogs, but a fortune cookie I opened up said they're just pretty much equal.

Actually, cats can drool too! My sister had a female tux. that would drool in your lap when you petted her.

Neither is actually smarter than the other, it's all about the person's preferrence!
Ecah of these creatures are very intellegent! The thing to keep in mind is that cat's are very finicky and choose who they want to allow themselves to get close to and when they want to do it where dogs are more open to be people lover's all the way around.
Neither animal is dumb, they're just like us humans; they have their own personalities

I have both dogs and cats.
They are both smart in their own way.I think in some ways they are just like people some smarter than others, or maybe they just seem that way because some are more open to obeying commands .
However I think a cat might survive in the wild better than a dog.

If cats are so smart they need to read a chapter on crapping outside.

Its all about training and the funny thing is is most cats dnt need trainging they automatically use the litter box ... there's dogs that use the bathroom inside as well.. just sayin!!
neither is smartter its all about the person's preference.. A dog person is gonna say a dog is smartter and vice versa

Sorry, Pep was cranking up the Pink Floyd. I don't know what's gotten into her lately. She's usually a R&B dog but she's been spacing out on more head music. Why, just the other day she was looking through my industrial selection and started mixing industrial with new age music. Think about it, what music collector would mix these two. Dogs can't be that smart right. I'll be happy when we get our files downloaded so when she's using her computer she's doing her thing, and I can do my thing on mine.
