Hmmm just curious,
Since I work in a motel I have a huge variety of people come through who I am friends with,
Now we have had a husband and wife come through who work here at times, which to me although I cant see how or why they do it, it really doesnt make any difference to how I think of them..

So if you had a husband and wife who the wife was a prostitute, would you be their friend or would you ignore them or just dodge them..

Hmmm and if you didnt want to be their friends , Why..

It just a question as some people seem to have a problem with it so I was just seeing if I am the only one who doesnt see the problem..

I am not sure you aren't confusing
friends with 'friendly.'
Twould make no difference to me as
I do not require a resume to decide
if I like someone or not.

Thats a moral question with no right or wrong answer.
My question to you is (Would you date me if you were a prostitute, and would you date me if you were not a prostitute) simply put, would you date me?
I wouldn't mind either way and I would treat you just the same because of the fact that if you wanted to be one... you could

I have dated a couple of prostitutes. It's funny how they seem to crave a pimp. They never used that word, but they were always trying to give me money. I suppose they want someone that takes care of them the way they take care of other men. It's not just sex you know.

How far would your friendship go? Would you tip them off if cops
came around? Would you hold some cash for them? Would you go to their
room and hang with them or party with them after they've left?

Would you set them up in a room under fake names and in a location
that was easy to vacate at a moments notice?

Would you recommend them to others looking for sex?
Would you try her yourself as a personal sexual toy?
How about if she offered you a freebie?

If someone offers you something for free that others are paying a high price for, you'd be a fool to pass it up.

Ummmm why would I need to tip them off if police where here,
Why would I need to hold their money,
I dont go to anyones room but I would invite them to my home,
I dont party or drink but they would be welcome to eat with us..
Why would they need fake names, they have real ones.
Why would I use a friend as a sexual toy, my friends are not my toys, Anaconda is my toy..

And why would I expect her to offer me anything it is her job,

What I was asking was do people have a problem with it.

I have known them for 5 years, they are great people, but it seems that people are shocked.

They dont hide it or lie about what they do, they are honest and caring people with good hearts.

Her husband is someone that I would call on if I needed help and know that he would be here in a sec and that he would put an end to any trouble that I had..
So the question is why do some people have a problem with them,

flowerforyou flowerforyou No I mean friends, they are lovely people, just was interested in what people thought as I have had a few reactions to them being classed as people I would call friends, I had never really thought about it before as they are still normal people just with a job I wouldnt want.

But then I wouldnt want to be a plumber either and have to play in peoples toilets. So cant really see the difference

3Well I guess if I was a prostitute it wouldnt bother me.
But I couldnt date a prostitute as I wouldnt be able to handle the fact that my man was with another women.. Thats just a personal thing for me, I am very jealous and would never ever share..So wouldnt pretend I could

I don't see any problem having a prostitute as a friend - unless her rates were cheap enough I could actually afford her, that might put a strain on the friendship.

When I was younger I used to know a couple ladies that worked as strippers, who also made some extra cash on the side by sometimes going home with some of the men. Some of their stories were rather interesting as well.

Nope.

I much prefer not having any connection to the underworld. If you are friends with a prostitute, a friend of a friend is a pimp, a drug dealer, or something even worse.

How does dating play into this?

Josie...ask yourself one question...do you trust her as a friend? If so, then love/treat her as a friend! Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

I tend to agree. To me this is the difference between friends and friendly. I would be friendly and polite. It is possible though that it is not an underworld activity in Josie's country - maybe it's legal in Australia because she seems to not see any problems legally with it, unless I have misunderstood somethng

If they are friends and the police are there to investigate and
or arrest them then why wouldn't you let them know so they could
avoid arrest?

You might be asked to hold their money so they don't get caught
with it.

If they are friends why would you not go to their room and spend
time with them (when you are off). I have no friends that I would
not visit at their place at their home or at their work.

They might not want to have their real names on the hotel room
bill if they were doing illegal stuff in the room. That's why
they might have fake names for example.

Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with prostitution in
particular - I just think that it might be difficult to be close
friends with them because of the legal implications.

my question would be more, how do they look each other in the eye. what man pimps his wife out? what wife is okay with being pimped out? they certainly have a skewed view of what marriage is all about and i find this a very sad statement to love and pride and personal responsibility. i get that prostitution is the oldest profession, and they are lovely people, and if they're okay with it, so should we be, and who are we to judge, but this is by far any semblance of the honor a man and woman, who love and respect each other, should have. they have no other options? it doesn't suprise me at all that people raise an eyebrow.

I don't see it being a problem being their friends. Doesn't matter to me if the wife is a prostitute. Friendship is based on who they are as a person not what they do.

I actually have a friend who use to be one...she's happily married with kids now.Not all prositutes have pimps and there are a lot of reasons why they do it...I don't judge her for what she had to do..no ones past is perfect.

I'd be friends with a prostitute.
I don't care what your job is.
unless you work doing something I completely disagree with.
prostitution is just sex.
meh.
who cares.
