In one their are no opposites - good/bad, desireable/not desireable. A personal example: somedays I hate my job, other days I love it. The job didn't change, my attitude/perspective did.

with ONE - there can be no growth, no experience, no interraction. We have this illusion of separate so that we may experience.

light would have no meaning if it were not juxtaposed against dark. Up would have no frame of reference without down. Left is just a word without right to give it direction.

yes I agree something happens ... us ... our ego ... our illusion of separate. It is never about what is 'out' there from my perspective because there is no real out there to begin with.

technically if you're christian evil doesn't exist because god is all powerful and all good, therefore evil and suffering cannot exist, or else god is not all powerful or he is not all good... so no evil, or no christian god you pick

i will always argue the option of free will, because god is omniscient, he is the end he is the beginning he knows all in christianity. God knows the choices you're going to make before you make them! he is an all knowing god.. if he already knows the choices you'll make then how is it your choice, aren't you in reality just fulfilling a fate or a destiny thats been premapped?

How strong do you think your logic is?

1) God wasn't disappointed in them, Genesis 6:5 tells us "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

2) First, the word is "murder" not "kill". The commandments were specifically given to mankind by God, not to God by God. We have no right to murder, because we don't understand what we are doing. God doesn't murder, which is to kill out of malice, God kills as punishment.

3) As we are told in Hebrews 1:3 "...and upholds all things by the word of His power..." Without God, you wouldn't be alive, you wouldn't even exist and neither would the universe. God "upholds" (sustain...keep in existance) all things. If the ONLY thing keeping you alive is God and you hate God, then why should he allow you to live? The people before the flood hated God and all good things. To save the human race, God had to destroy the evil people.

4) God is all good. When we do things our way, that's when we do evil things. God knows what is best for us to do, it's our pride that prevents us from doing it.

somebody around here mentioned that technically for christians evil does not exist. i would recommend u go back and check ur books again. Evil has to exist in order to justify good. If there is no evil, ergo good it's not necessary. It would be meaningless.
The evil's biggest victory is not to tempt the human beings. Evil's biggest vitory is making human beings believe that it does not exist.

ya, for christians its all about the big battle between good and evil. As for me, I follow a different path.

I think God is neither good nor evil. God is. Not much of a sentence, but if you try and finish it, you are putting limits on what he is. So I just left it at that.
