I don't know what is right and what is wrong, there always seems to be so many hidden political agenda's that I have no idea what is truth.

Things can't be changed, reguardless fo who likes or dislikes anything.
Yep everyone feels relief when a danger is removed, just sometimes you can jump out of the way of one snake to find out that you jumped into a heap of others.
I only see what the media portrays, and really, they mix things up so much that I wouldnt know who is right or wrong.

I guess both sides will always have a reason for doing what they do..

Sadly for everyone, While America chose to go after the figureheads, the others really wont care they will just target everyone, and the more people who are there the better,

yep so many people on both sides have been hurt. and both country's are hurting, and both country's at times will rejoice in what they see as right.

But sadly in the long run we all lose..

thats why daddy bush was a one termer, he refused to go after saddam... that and a big lie...

Jess, I can relate to your sentiment about rejoicing over death

although, for different intentions, i also believe there are reasons for death to be rejoiced,,,,

I think the 'relief' factor comes in the knowing that he is no longer out there,,,much like if a serial killer were caught

in this case, the confrontation lead to deaths, instead of capture which could have lead to a more civil brand of 'justice'

people are overzealous over the 'death' part, but I think underneath many of us are feeling more 'relief' than joy

Thankyou Ms Harmony....that was very kind...

What concerns me deeply is of course, the reaction across the internet, the media, and I am sure in the US of everyday people...but moreso the apparent lack of understanding as to what has been done.

In an extremist view...your country killed a saint...of course not to us...but to his followers...and by 'cutting off the head'...in this instance will not remove extremist violence...I can feel, as we digest this latest news across the world...there are 50 more heads being grown on that extremist body.

That is what alarms me...how many have already died for the almost ten year search for one man?...a figurehead is all he was...

and I mentioned in my first post...these people have entrenched in their inherited instincts to continue the fight....these people fight for centuries...not years...they fight through generations.

I am literally terrified for what awaits the common man, the children of the US.

DITTO - and word from many economists is that were are sittin on the bubble (the hollow bubble).

Food scarcity - something I'm sure you've all heard about in the media right? Certainly wallstreet is hedging their bets and many economists are reporting that food will likely be driving political forces. What do you think that means?

Think about it - where does your food come from? Oh yea, all that safe sea food from the gulf - oh, and before you buy be sure to find out were your food came from because the weapons of war have nuclear elements and if there is any doubt as to what they do - look at the significant rise in cancers and birth defects in war zones.

And all the damage that this (non-existent)global climate change is creating by dumping a foot or more of hale onto tender crops, and floods damaging others, and later this summer the droughts.

All the countries who have suffered recent natural catastrophy will not be planting or harvesting as usual. The Early crops in the '2%' of agriculture that still exists in the U.S. may have gotten in late or have flooded out and its costly to replant, so the government or its federally backed farm insurance will have to pay - but where does all this money keep coming from?

How may people in the world are engaged in war or enslaved by it - poeple whose time and effort would be more wisely spent on agriculture to feed this ailing world?

But continue to celebrate the death of this man and tomorrow make an economic assessment of your own finances - how much food, how much fuel, how much in taxes are you willing to give to support a war effort that you can't even explain?

since when does war need an explanation? the last time a war was explained was ww2.... and that was self evident... since then, they have all been senseless...

The War on Terror is far from senseless.

I'm out....unfortunately this is just compounding the sour taste in many Australians mouths....

Dragoness...you and yours are welcome here, in my house...if you need it..flowerforyou

Actually Australia was one of the first countries to pat us on the back.........

Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger welcomed the news, calling it "a relief for many people"

and this is different from when? now the world knows what happens when you fly planes into buildings... the toughest guys very rarely have to fight because people already know what can happen... i think a great example was made, and there is a free country now, that wasn't before... but thats ok if you think tyranny is ok, because we don't...

New York was profoundly affected...maybe more so than anybody else.

Hmmm I have heard of bush but not the other, and have no idea what they did or didnt do..

i don't like killing anyone, but everyone has a right to protect themselves, or their country. If someone tried to hurt any of my children and i had a gun, I would have no trouble stopping them, why, because its my job to protect them.. I wouldnt kill them as i wouldnt need to but i sure as heck would stop them. So noone can really say this or that should have happened as we wherent there we have no idea and never will, whats done is done and now we see what happens.
Both of our countries have a lot of good men out their, who risk their lives for us everyday.

We fight for what we believe in ( flowerforyou Jess included)
the same as your country does.

For me I am concerned about what will happen, but thats life.

The ugliness (celebrating death and being disgusting about his body) that is shown by Americans who shame all of us will be the reason that we Americans can never rest our minds from being hated throughout the world.

More cowardly liberal blah blah blah

How is the words typed above cowardly?

How can one woman's view be seen as cowardly?

I feel such contempt for those who hide behind such blase comments...that is cowardly.

Rather than give an educated and informed response you type something like that?

And Dragoness....I hope you know you are not hated as a country by me...I don't hate anyone...anywhere...and most everyday Australian I speak with don't hate your country...we react to the arrogance and posturing...but there is no hate.

Because everything that doesn't suit her beliefs is ugly, hateful, hate mongering, fear mongering and not to mention racist.

Ah, so it's because you don't like what she has to say about things she disagrees with? What do you expect? People to just nod along and agree with what you think all the time? There is an awful lot of hate in this forum and it does disgust me. I'm not sure how you can miss it.

slaphead

I'd rather be called a liberal than what the ugly Americans should be called for their actions that are shaming all of this country around the world.

Again NO MATTER WHO THE PERSON WAS, THEY WERE SOMEONES DAD, BROTHER, SON, COUSIN, GRANDPA, ETC... giving respect to those family members who just lost a loved one should be paramount human respect.

all i can say to that is PHTTTTTTTTT....it's the liberals that are pussifing america... this guy had 3000 people killed, and your praying to him??

Why are you taking one person's opinion and assuming all "liberals" are thinking the same way?

And who said they were praying to him? Perhaps you can point out that exact wording.

give it two weeks

it would certainly be a retraction on al jazeera , probably even OSAMA himself 'exposing' the lie if it werent true

if there is no word from OSAMA, ,,Id have faith that he is dead

when was the last time you heard anything from bin laden?

actually speaking of hearing from him. I cant recall when so dont quote me, but i thought he did have a video'd message that was aired after claims of him dying 5 years ago......it sort of rings a bell. however i wouldnt be surprised if he has pre-recorded several other pieces for his people to send out over the airwaves after he were to pass just to F with everyone. I wont be surprised to see if another video surfaced in the weeks to come claiming "see he still is alive" Be afraid, be very afraid"

They listen to what he talks about in the videos and look for other things, for example a newspaper or something.
