The ugliness (celebrating death and being disgusting about his body) that is shown by Americans who shame all of us will be the reason that we Americans can never rest our minds from being hated throughout the world.

More cowardly liberal blah blah blah

How is the words typed above cowardly?

How can one woman's view be seen as cowardly?

I feel such contempt for those who hide behind such blase comments...that is cowardly.

Rather than give an educated and informed response you type something like that?

And Dragoness....I hope you know you are not hated as a country by me...I don't hate anyone...anywhere...and most everyday Australian I speak with don't hate your country...we react to the arrogance and posturing...but there is no hate.

I am glad to hear that there are some who are not judgmental, sadly, the ugly Americans that embarrass us all would not give the same grace to you in the same situation.

NO MATTER WHO A PERSON IS OR HOW BAD THEY WERE THEY ARE SOMEONE'S FAMILY AND FRIEND. Showing respect to those living individuals who are not responsible for what their family member did is just human courtesy.

...and that is cowardly, how? huh

To have a different view to yours makes her cowardly?

And for a bit of background information...the people on the street here in Australia are shell-shocked.....absolutely shell-shocked by the behaviours of your people we are witnessing through your media.

We find it ugly....and quite disturbing.

We feel very 'lessened' by this lesson....

Yup your right, I hate a man that plotted the death of over 3,000 innocent men, women and children, I hate a man that ordered attacks on embassies and dance halls and hotels that killed over 1,000 innocent men, women and children and I hate the man who ordered the attack that crippled a US Ship and killed several crew members when they were getting some much deserved R&R.

Screw Bin Laden up his dirty twisted you know what. May he burn in hell for the death and destruction he brought to the world.

FECK!....really?scared

Jayzuz bloody kerrist on a pogo stick!!!!...and you are all happy?surprised

So......Al Queida and Islamic extemists just dissolved like the bad witch in Wizard of Oz???...with the death of Osama Bin Ladan???...are you seriously believing that?...he was an old man with over-zealous vicious ideas of what SHOULD be right in his world....same as you guys....no different... I have watched the inhumane slaughter of innocent people in your so-called War on terror..and you people allow it...by calling it collateral damage?????

Are you all f *cking mad????.....

I'm floored with the craziness some of you are displaying,....

You do realise the giant red target is back....don't you?

Your people fight wars for 5 -10 years....the longest was Vietnam...and that was a p* ssing contest in comparison to what has been created.

The hornet's nest you have poked with a stick, fight wars for centuries...absolutely mercenary..vicious and without remorse.

Your children's children's children will still be looking over their shoulders.

I am apalled...and unfortunately we as Australians, are guilty by association...

awesome!slaphead we associate with zealots and insane people...whoa

I think it's called the dumbing down of Americans. So it took me like seven pages of comments before I saw a glimmer of sanity - Australian style, naturally not American.

Can anyone honestly say they feel somehow safer tonight than they did last night?

How does the death of one person make those who will never see loved ones again feel better?

I can't even begin to imagine having lost a spouse or a son or daughter to violence and ten years later feeling vidicated in some false sense of relief despite the many thousands more who suffered and died in the persuit of this one man. That anyone would believe that is sickening.

And that's not all YET - NOW WHAT? - now that you feel safe becasue the devil has been declared defeated are we done fighting? How dare you feel safe and then leave our military personal in the heart of hateful war.

Where is the threat now and where will it be tomorrow and when this contry's dollar will no longer buy a meals worth of nutrition, who will pay to protect you within your own borders?

Celebrate the death of a man and forget to mourn the thousands of lives in collateral damage, forfeited to get to that one man. In some sick, demented frame of mind people seem able to just chalk all those lives up to being paid in full by the death of a devil. Will is death continue the pay the price of continued war?

NOW WHAT?

Personaly I have a hard time rejoicing after all even if he is dead he won.

America is a shadow of itself.

Gas prices insane the economy in rubble and our freedoms that he supposadly so hated are now in jepordy.

The american way of life is practicly over for most americans.

by all accounts if his goal was to bring america to its knees he did it on the cheap.

That is of course if you buy into the whole 911 thing.

I'd rather be called a liberal than what the ugly Americans should be called for their actions that are shaming all of this country around the world.

Again NO MATTER WHO THE PERSON WAS, THEY WERE SOMEONES DAD, BROTHER, SON, COUSIN, GRANDPA, ETC... giving respect to those family members who just lost a loved one should be paramount human respect.

Who prays? I don't.

If that is all you can say you don't have much to contribute then do you?

If pussification means that we have class and decorum with human respect for others then I guess pussification is what we need more of.

It is actually just human respect.

After all, NO MATTER WHO HE WAS HE WAS SOMEONES FATHER, HUSBAND, SON, GRANDAD, BROTHER, COUSIN, ETC... the living is who we show respect for, not the dead.

I couldn't use a US military source because they don't even want to show the numbers...

even if these figures were halved....

it is still the most shameful amount of numbers.
