Topic: Do guys prefer women w/ short or long hair ? | |
---|---|
Why is it when women reach a certain age one of the first things they want to do is lop off their hair? Hmmmm. Maybe it is to annoy the bald geezer laying next to them. Or it's a sympathy cut. Like men will sometimes get sympathy morning sickness when their wife is pregnant. |

Why is it when women reach a certain age one of the first things they want to do is lop off their hair? My guess is it gives them a sense of empowerment. |

I like my hair longer, I can use it to hide my face if I am embarrassed or shy, but I also just dont look the same with it short, I look like a stanger

well my opinion is the men i have been with, and the 1 i'm seeing now prefer long hair, but says it's my hair do what i want but for him i;ll keep it long.just now getting shoulder length again. ![]() ![]() not always. i used to have reaaally long hair. now is around my shoulder, but im letting it grow again, my boyfriend seems to like more when is shorter, but i like it more when is longer, i just got it cut because i changed the color some times last year so when i went back to blonde i needed to cut off the parts that would still show a little of other color. i want to grow it to the middle of my back again. even it being on my shoulders i find it too short and it bugs me, i wish it could grow faster. :( but i always ask my boyfriend how he would like my hair more, how i should keep it, and he says it is my hair and i should use it as i like, not as he tells me to, or i can use as he says just because he said so. so he would rather not really express his opinion on it in case i keep the hair as he wants. but is really clear how much more he likes my hair when it is short. lol |

I think it aint their problem and they dont get an opinion No, but don't let the guy know that this is your opinion. When my ex-wife and I were dating she had long hair when she realised things were getting serious she cut it. Was a source of conflick early on. |

Anyone know what I'm referring to? |

It has to be long! I've never met a woman who IMO looked good with short hair. I don't get it when I hear "oh that short cut looks so cute on you!" No it doesn't!! You look weird! Idk I think its just a visual cue for me and yea I like to have something to touch/grab/pull/flip/play with. Long hair is so wonderfull! haha...my dad got mad every year when my aunt came to visit because she would do hair cuts. My mom & sisters got their hair chopped off once a year, but I usually didn't. When I was 30 or so it had gotten so long that I was sitting on it & having headaches so I cut it off shoulder length and donated a foot of hair to locks of love! Showed up to my baby sister's graduation and my dad flipped & the chit hit the fan...LOL. He cussed me & my bf at the time out and my mom made him leave! He was so hurt that I didn't include him on the decision to cut my hair...I was grown...WTH? |

IMO, many women's faces don't work as well with short hair. Others seem made for short hair. I'm thinking of Ruth, I think. I also think that many people may get a sub-conscious cue. Short = boy, long = girl Thank you! ![]() Yeah, I am well aware that a lot of guys don't like short hair and my hair is very short. But I'm not trying to get a guy based on my hair so that's okay. That pixie cut is adorable on you ![]() |

just wondering... what do you think? ![]() To me young women under 35 look great with long hair. Over 35 I like women with short hair. Someone with a nice cut says to me she takes care of her herself and her appearance and if I get involved she will continue to do that. Just one mans humble opinion. :) |

I've always liked longer hair, but well maintained longer hair.
Some women look good with shorter styles too, don't get me wrong. |

Seems a bit one sided. |

I prefer long, especially in bed when we do it doggy style. I used to have this very gorgeous gf, but she had short hair, and in these instances I could not escape the horrible conviction that she was a blonde man, perhaps a German soldier from WWII... that was it, when that unwanted ideation came over me, I had to ask her to please turn over, honey.
you see, it's very easy to mistake a man for a woman and vice versa from the back. A friend of mine in the nineteen-eighties and I would go to dances together, and we realized it's easier for the girl to say yes, if you approach her from behind, make her known with a slight caugh when you are beside her, then ask her to dance. If you walk up to her from the front, she's more inclined to say no. This was a fact. But Arthur told me that he had been declined in the seventies at dances by two blondes, in two separate nights, because they were men. Bearded men. With long, blonde hair, and non-descript clothing. These were straight men. Long hair was in style then for both sexes. -------------- Edit: In the original, before my correction, my text read "...conviction that she was a blonde woman, perhaps ..." That had been an inadvertent typo, to say "woman" instead of "man". |

This was my way of carrying the burden of household choring. |

I think it aint their problem and they dont get an opinion Hear, hear. You're right about this. But we still can have our "likes" and "dislikes". I am sure you have a preference, too, on which side the partner should lie in bed when they snore like crazy. Some things just "are". It is. Est. |
