Captain is two and a half years younger than me and I think he looks great with his prematurely grey hair.

Honestly, its because long hair on some older women make them look like older and as my male friends say they look like hags. As we age our hair gets thin and brittle which makes it look worse with a long length. I have seen many older woman that long hair is not flattering to them and its too bad they don't do the computer generated images to see how much better they would look. I too had long hair but it was dry and very thin and made me actually look older. Since I cut my hair; my face isn't drawn out and my hair is thick and healthy. Not to mention people say I look a lot younger. So, guess it depends how you want to look but like it or not very few older women look good with long hair.

Long or short hair, I wonder how how any man could mistake us women (me in particular) for a man even from the back with all our curves and physical femininity.

Depends on the shape of your face and body, some can do both however.

LOL! Defintely a personal preference. My dad is 67, looks like he's maybe 50, but he has mom color his hair so he looks good. It's probably the only thing helping with him finding work, since the economic meltdown screwed him from being able to retire and have fun.

I find longer very sexy. As long as it's taken care of. Doesn't have to be perfect, but at least be clean.

I'm partial to short hair, but its really more about it matching the face and look.
