Some people just don't want to post a picture?
Thanks so much but I've even had it happen on some of the sites I write for while reading other authors where the pic is part of the article and meant to display.Sometimes it's just a few in a series but the rest are fine.I've noticed when I use the 32 bit explorer it's less but when I use the 64 bit it's terrible.could it have to do with some setting in my browser?

possibly. I thought about that after I posted.

I use Google Chrome and never have problems seeing pictures on any site.Which sometimes is actually a rather bad thing...

The problem is you're using IE. It's not the greatest browser out there and the 64-bit version is full of bugs they haven't gotten around to fixing yet. I'd recommend trying a different browser, possibly Firefox, Chrome, or Opera.

Try upgrading to an NML0344. Or first, if you want to try the cheap stuff, connect your PVS to the N-router via the lower memory bits of your router. If that doesn't work, get the network router to transconfigurate the signal to the North American SPPQ standard, and broadcast it on a lower frequency than 44 GHz. This will work on broadband, not on SPS.

You could also look for compatibility issues. The Motorola N-6000 does not have the check digit encoded necessarily for PRPPP saturation devices, so you will lose the KLTR over the TRTR range, undoubtedly.

huh?

There are many reasons that they could not show. Browser settings, server settings, cache settings, privacy settings... I know that when I'm at work, pictures I can see on my home computer are x'd out on my work computer because they don't meet the criteria set forth my the networks protocols. It could be something as simple as the server that stores said picture is jacked up and the browser cannot find the picture, or something as complicated as network settings that are controlled by a network administrator to prevent the viewing of certain files which they deem potentially harmful to thier network. In the end it will come down to settings of some sort, just have to find the point of failure.

You see a red ex because the photos aren't loading - for whatever reason.

Make sure none of your setting are blocking images. It doesn't matter what browser you use - I've been viewing pictures in Windows successfully for decadeslaugh with IE. But make sure you have at least IE6 - 7 or 8 would be better and Windows XP or higher. If you have a dial up internet connection try to switch to broadband (DSL, cable, wireless)

and adjust your security settings in windows to med or med-high - if they are set on high- and make sure you have MS silverlight (downloads are free off their site)

I'm assuming your not on a server -If u r on a server at work DO NOT DO any of this - check with your system admin

you could consider running a memory test- make sure you have enough memory -you can access your systems requirements in your control panel and/or you can ask Windows to test itself through it's own system grading program in your control panel. You might be able to access a memory checker thru administrative tools, I usually use DOS-like commands to check memory so I am sure offhand about the GUI options (in the control panel) and I'm operating linux now so I can't check for you. but message me if you want me to check and I can do it tonight as I may be on Windows later or tomorrow

That's a broken image. It depends, sometimes the URL to the image may be invalid, which can be an issue on the website, not your computer.

as I mentioned earlier I said I would check the Contol Panel in Windows once I booted into Windows

I just did (booted & checked) and the answer if u wanna do a memory check is that I was right

go to Administrative Tools- under classic view and choose Memory Diagnostics Tool from the list.

Windows will guide you thru

you may not need to do this but it can't hurt anything

Glad you figured it out. The best way to learn is to just play around and get comfortable with the computer. You can also use Google and find some good tech. forums to hang out in, you'll learn a lot from them. Just don't try anything crazy until you know what you're doing.

Also, always keep Windows, IE, and your security software up to date.

Dean, always remember, when a computer is acting stranger than your common sense, it can usually fe fixed or figured out by either right clicking or double clicking. Just like a Human Brain, a computer is very complicated but will definately respond if you poke it with a stick lol

One of the better replies.
It could very well be a security issue but not knowing what sites and pics are being blocked, it's hard to tell. When you right clik and ask to load the image, you are probably instructing to avoid a block and load the image. There are many, many issues that might be in play; simple security misconfiguration up to cross-site script blocking.
Candidly, if you are surfing wired news, cnn, history channel and not getting pics, it's probably a misconfig. If your pr0n isn't showing up, it's for a reason ;)
cheers!

Your browser (internet explorer) is not setting aside enough memory to load the entire page and all of the pictures on the page. When you click "show picture", you are forcing IE to temporarily use more memory. I'm not sure why IE is doing this but I believe there is a setting to increase how much memory IE uses by default. BTW the blank box you see has a jargon term for it called the "image placeholder". You should only see it when the image no longer exists on the internet or the web-designer made a typo.

Most of the reasons for your problem have already been answered here...re your browser, it's your decision what you use...I prefer
Firefox...but basically the most important thing is to keep up
with those Browser upgrades.

Actually, nowadays things are happening so fast that we must
almost upgrade everything everyday. But if you are left behind,
you will get new situations where your old "parts" simply won't work.

You may also get unsafe computer issues from not upgrading. Whenever
you are offered an upgrade, probably best to install it.

I would also ask what Operating System you are using? If it's older,
it's not compatible with the newer systems and you will start having
problems like the one you are mentioning.

Good luck! Junewaving

My the most simple advice is :
when you have such problem
doesn't matter pictures with red X or some files
just click on it ... you'll get the right information from
the window which will be opened explaining which one program you
need to do this ...
