? Let's clear all of this up right now... John Wayne and Johnny Cash were GAY lovers....and Nazis. So..were the Beatles. John Wayne sashayed when he walked....don't believe me?...watch his movies. But....don't get all p*ssy about it.... He wasn't COMPLETELY gay.....more like a really lonely Viking. :) |

They're all the same, so why not, right? Not exactly. Why? Just because I can.

Yes, generalizing is great, isn't it! It just works so well. |

OK Prove me wrong. Ya got Netflix? get Mr. Blandings Builds his Dreamhouse. Hopefully, I'm doing you a favor here. Tell me you didn't love the relationship between Cary and Myrna. Tell me you wouldn't love to have a best friend like William Powell. Tell me you haven't, at some point in your life, pursued a dream that just seemed to become a nightmare at every turn. Tell me you never had to laugh at yourself. I hope you do this, and I hope you have as much fun as I did.

Dream all you want, but be careful what you wish for...you just might get it. Think about John Wayne in all his movies... I do not remember him ever settling down with one girl, he was always on the move or in fights...some kind of trouble. Not to mention his drunken stages and everything else...lol. I grew up idolizing him but you have to pick and choose which qualities you want to remember... Oh great, Squash all our dreams He was fighting to protect people and he had to settle down with someone and he would have looked after them because he was the good guy and thats what good guys do. and I cant remember any bad stuff, and he would have only been drinking while he was sorting himself out because he was good. |

....have you actually paid attention to how John Wayne walked? He had a sexy walk, and a sexy voice Rats now I am going to have to go and check out his walk to make sure it was sexy. |

|
He sometimes had kind of a mincing walk, as though his boots hurt him, but he did it in a very manly way.

I still don't know whether John Wayne is based on a some sort of a real life character that is (or was) common, or do real life people trying to imitate fictional characters from movies?

(I goofed. It was Melvin Douglas, not William Powell).
