Nothing is wrong with it if you're upfront about that being what you're looking for. I think more women have a problem with it when a guy acts as if he wants a relationship and it turns out all he wants is sex.

yup and 9 times out of 10 that's what happens...guys will say ...let's just do a FWB and see where it goes and women (heaven knows why) believe them

Ladies, One immutable truth in life, and FWB is going no where else 99.9/100 percent of the time - rarely do those conditions evolve into a commitment

so if u want a commitment do not do an FWB. But guys will lie and say the above (1st paragraph )- so don't listen to that unless you also do not care about a commitment

problem is a lot of women hear "let's see where it goes " to mean in a few weeks we'll be in a relationship, and when men say "let's see where it goes" it means I'll f@uck ya but I'm not into u enough for anything else

I was talking more about the men who say they want a relationship, rather than being honest about just wanting sex. If they say they just want sex and then we'll see, then the woman is just not paying attention if she thinks more will happen.

I agree - just put a little of my own spin on it. Men will more often be dishonest to obtain sex, but I think most have grown up in a culture that quietly has deemed that particular deception socially acceptable, and I think women have to share some responsibility too if the guy IS honest and they jusr don't listen, then it's the bed she made - walked right into it....

to me- the most salient thing is to remember - no matter what he says - if u want him for the long term don't be too quick to jump in the sack

I usually end up with the opposite problem. I want to find a woman that I can be friends with first. In my experience the deeper the friendship becomes the more the woman is afraid that sex will end up ruining the friendship.

I have a question for the women out there. I have asked a few of my close female friends and never seem to get a straight answer. Why is it that women want to be "Best Friends" with a nice guy, then they want to get involved in a "relationship" with a guy that treats them like crap?frustrated frustrated Then to add insult to injury, so to speak, why do they run back to their " Best Friend" and ***** about the way they were treated?slaphead slaphead

Am I just a hopeless romantic? Or am I just wasting too much time waiting for "it" to happen naturally?

Would any of you ladies like to help a nice guy figure out how to stay out of the "Friend Zone"?

nothing wrong with that... just one should not end up expecting the other to cook the breakfast and buy the drinks all the time!laugh

i do think communication is key though.. in the beginning and when u are spending time together . after all friends do communicate! and they dont do things to hurt the others feelings... when one cant stick to the agreement whatever it was discussed... then its time to end it

Agree....women need to be treated Nicely and not treated as a sex object...but normally most women I met end up liking more then a FWB and expect u to become serious or propose and I think that Kinda sucks.

or women think ur a pig becoz u only want sex...but if u propose and then have sex its ok...and then u dump them is like I had sex only with my ex.....

I hope I meet just the perfect F>W>B!!! Gonna keep looking till I decide to become serious :)

Whats wrong in Looking for Friends With Benefits... Why Do Most WOmen get turned off.... :-?

I know alot of women who like and even prefer a fwb relationship.
I'm not one of them anymore..at the time that sort of thing worked for me, now it doesn't.
It's just another preference thing, no big deal. If the women aren't interested, keep looking for one who is, their out there.

I think it would be ideal to marry your best friend, but then again...who ever acts logically. . .

I guess everyone is different,
i would hate itnoway
I guess i am a jealous person as the thought of sharing just doesnt fit in my life.
And the thought of someone only coming around to sleep with me is yuck.

I agree

I think to me, anyway, the discernment is whether what mayhem is suggesting is within the bounds of a commitment or not

for me, that is not something I would want to do outside of a monogamous commitment AND forget the clubs....Ima bout jus getting it onflowerforyou

laugh that's not really what I was suggesting sweety. things aren't always that predictable - it takes time, for me anyway, to tell if I want someone for the long term- that interval may or may not include sex

I'm suggesting caution not a program with ruleslaugh flowerforyou

I'd actually be happy with this kind of arrangement right now. During the week gets pretty busy, so unless they're local, I won't see them much anyway. On the weekend, that would be perfect.
