Do you remember your first 'love'? Do you know where they are, what happened to them, how their life turned out?

Do you think that first love was "real" love, or do you think it was just infatuation with finding out about the other sex and it being a time of firsts in your life, a kind of 'puppy love' if you will?

If you had the chance to see your first love again, say after 20 years, what would you expect?

Third grade.
Ron Gregory.
He asked me to go steady.
Gave me a purple ring.
A week later, he asked me to give it to Janice Blatt.
(You will note the total recall of names.)
The pain of it, I still recall.
So one day, I looked up his name on FaceBook.
There are tons of them and any could be he.
So I wrote a quick note to one that looked like
him.
It wasn't.
But he became a friend on FB hahaha
The other is long lost..
The memory hangs in though.
I loved him from 3rd grade through 9th grade,
when he moved.
Love is love.

I remember my first love. But it didn't turn out what I had expected. I wouldn't say she was my "Soulmate". But if we had stayed together long enough, we could have probably found that out. I'll just leave it that.

Yep. Met her in kindergarden. Amy Vandergriff. Cute little blonde with great legs. When we were in 1st grade I used to walk her home and carry her books everyday. She lived across a busy street and I always made sure she got across ok. We would always stop at the little store on the corner to get a piece of candy........smokin

My first love I had was when I was 16 years old, and we dated during that summer, his name was Terry, we got along so well, did alot of things together, and making out, no sex, I wasn't interested in the sex thing, just a nice boy to hang out with, when summer ended, we broke up, he went into the Air Force, we kept in touch of on by phone for six months, than he met a wonderful girl and got married, we lost touch after that, he went on with my life, yeah I was crushed, but had very good memories.

Of course, I knew him before I was born.
Neighbor boy, families went to same church, grandparents knew each other before our parents knew each other, before we knew each other.

In first grade we decided we didn't want to go back into school from recess so we hid - behind the ONE little bush on the entire playground.
I remember what dress I had on...after all the other kids went in we came out from behind the bush and just started playing on the playground again.
Of course, here comes the teacher looking for us - she whipped us with her hand - I was mortified. We still giggle about it to this day.

He grew up to be a farmer and now owns a greenhouse - has beautiful children and a heart of gold.
Some of my friends met him at my mom's funeral, I could only introduce him as "this... is... Allen..." and with a knowing look they were like OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, Allen???
Afterwards they were all like Wtf were you thinking, he's PERFECt for you????
Um, well, he didn't ask my permission before he married his lovely sweet wife...smitten

Do you remember your first 'love'?

Yes.

Do you know where they are, what happened to them, how their life turned out?

Yes. We met accidentally more than a decade ago. He's a doctor now.

If that wasn't love, it sure hurt like hell, at the time. laugh

If you had the chance to see your first love again, say after 20 years, what would you expect?

When I saw him again, the attraction was gone for me because I've moved on, so I expect the same thing. Although, it was nice to see him stammer when he saw me, for a change. laugh

I can remember quite a few of infatuations: the age of 6 planning a life and family with a friend named David, our parents took us to the movie Snow White / my first date. But by the age of 7 we had both forgotten all about it.laugh He now lives in Oregon some where.
At 15 a more serious crush, Gene. First kiss.blushing He joined the service?
But my first true love was at the age of 18, married him and was together until he passed away 3 1/2 yrs ago.brokenheart

My first really serious girlfriend (2 years in high school and afterwards) became a militant lesbian activist after we broke up. It's nice to know I made an impression.

People don't just "become" militant lesbian activists after a relationship. That is just an example of who she really was in the first place. It is also an example of the kind of women you were attracted to. Rebels at heart. bigsmile

I have to disagree with JeannieBean here. Statistics have shown that women turn from heterosexuality to lesbianism within 24 hours. This usually happens when women are not doing their womanly duties, such as cooking, cleaning, or taking care of things in the bedroom.

So, here's my advice for your next relationship. If your woman wants to vent, that is all well and good, but make sure she does so while making you dinner. Otherwise, when those lesbian feelings come out, watch out!

Just my two cents,
Shiki

Good point. I do love the free-thinking rebellious type! Or I would, if they weren't extinct now....

yes, it was hard won, because I grew up with all brothers so was never overly impressed with males per se,,,

but I met my first love in high school, we had similar family upbringing in terms of values and goals , we wanted similar things in life, it was a great time, we married , and we had a son

we divorced after (in my opinion , at least) he risked my life having sex outside of our marriage,,,,,

we still are in touch, as parents, and still get along excellent, and no doubt still love each other
