What turns Shiki off is a woman who cannot pronounce his name properly.

It is pronounced SHEE-KEE (like cheeky).

I've been on two first dates in the last month..and both guys did the same thing.

They talked incessantly about nothing in particular so that I could not get a word in. Then when I did say something they either just kept talking or talked over me before I could finish speaking...

WTF If you wanted to date yourself why invite me? mad rant

Sorry what was the question again? Oh yeah things that turn you off on a first date...yayaya

So anyway I am turned off when the guy does not engage me in the conversation.

I noticed that when I go out on a first date the usual little things turn me off about a guy. Like what they wear for the occasion, if they shaved, or if they are decent tippers.

What turns you off when your on a first date? And is it something you notice a lot? flowerforyou

when a man is not attentive to small things (and the big ones too) like I had two dates (different men) who bought my drink and we sat there talkin and the dinner hour was way past and they didn't ask if I was hungry

i was starving!!! I got up & left and needless to say it was the first & last date for both

I remember a date that I went on over a year ago, met the guy at a restaurant, we were supposed to meet in the lobby, couldn't find him, I asked the waitress and she said yes he is sitting down, over there, so he was already sat down and halfway done with his pie and coffee, he must of got there way early, but regardless I thought it was rude that he seated himself and ordered for himself first, I went along with it, and order an ice tea to drink, I had already eaten earlier and didn't want dessert, so to top it off he order another piece of pie and was talking about of all things politics, while his mouth was full of pie, and spitting out pie pieces out of his mouth, he had the manners of a baboon, I had enough of it, took a couple dollars out of my purse put on the table to pay for my own drink got and said it was nice to meet you, shook his hand and left, I was sooooooo glad to get out of there, what rudeness on his part.

Hmm... Well, I've been on many dates, but not on many first dates, but I tend to be pretty open minded about everything, from rudeness, to not talking at all... But the biggest turn off for me is when a guy who thinks he's more intelligent than you, and constantly corrects you about everything you say. For me, it's like, well geez, thanks for using your over abundant intellect to make me feel like I have the IQ of a non gifted two year old. mad

When they talk or text on the phone. First date I want all your attention. Of course if there is an emergency you must talk

I went out with a woman once and that's all she did! She would not talk to me at all.

Then she would bring other people on our dates. Sometimes crowds! What's the point of a date if you don't get to know the other person?

Over-scrutinizing the bill.
Like they have never paid one before.

Any kind of comb-over...shudder.
I will buy you a razor.

Showing off.
Just be kind to everybody.

Don't agree with everything I say.
Opine.

If you have to look at other girls..
be prepared to follow THEM home.

add persistent requests for sex after I've said not on a first date and a second date will be a dim and distant figment of your imagination

Only if they were running things. And I can't see the governments of the world letting THAT happen....!

texting the entire time...

bad breath...

how you tip the server(also dependent upon quality of service)

telling me how fabulous i am( i already know that, along with what i'm worth...lets talk about something interesting)

asking me direct questions receiving direct answers, and then being dissatisfied with the answer...i don't sugar coat things..thats stupid and your not five.
