Do we see the world through rose colored glasses?
That is being passed out in masses.
As we put them on and look from behind.
We don’t really see what is happing to mankind.
What we actually only see.
Is the way we want the world to be?
Do we really understand about war?
What really happens and how hardcore.
Yes they fight for our beliefs, this country and all.
But is it really always the right call.
Does anyone really understand and care.
What they go through as a soldier in war.
So many men and women that is so brave.
Parents must visit them now at there grave.
Or others that come back having flash backs.
In there minds this is reality, the true facts.
No matter what they do they can not erase.
These pictures that have invaded there space.
My heart goes out to each and everyone.
For protecting this land and all they have done.
With these rose colored glasses we have on.
Will we ever really be able to say we have won?

Bravo!TxsGal.This is indeed a very deep subject & has become as sensitive as talking politics or religion.Just merely some more countless deaths,injuries,scars,& loved ones pain to be placed in the archives of our country's history book.So sad indeed.While the media feeds the masses a lot of hoopla~yada~yada.We know damn skippy that there are hidden agendas & underlying truths that we are not made aware of.Time uncovers the real stark truth afterwards.Meanwhile I pray everyday for my brothers & sisters who are standing in harms way as we speak.May God watch over them & bring them home with as minimal amount of battle damage as humanly possible.Godspeed!Cybear aka your brother;101st Airborne soldier."Death from the Sky"until there is Peace.Amen.

p.s.Sadly we are just instruments of war used & controlled by our Govt.'s hands with justified decisions or lack thereof.Amen!

This life they chose as a soldier to maintain.
They do it for this country and never complain.
They know what it is they must do.
And the hardships they must go through.
But even to this very day.
There is so many that when they go away.
They have no ideal what tomorrow they will face.
They go to this land in a far away place.
They watch as there brothers and sisters fall.
It rips out there hearts as there names they do call.
They sat with there heads down, hands on there pockets.
As they touch the pictures of loved ones, as they hear the rockets.
Shooting over there heads making there mark.
As the flames light up the area that was dark.
Walking across this desert they seem to roam.
All the time thinking of being back home.
At times those that make it back.
Protesters throw words at them and want to attack.
They came back home to recover from getting hit by a bomb.
Just so these people could protest because it is there freedom.
What is wrong with this?
Is there something I did miss?
Not any day.
Should it be this way.

Cybear thank you very much I myself support our troops completely I may not understand the war and wish to God we had no war. But never should our troops be forgotton over time, But sadly it does happen and too often. We have no clue what goes on behind the scene the things these men and women go through each day they are there. This is not to down anyone or anything just for others to think for one minute in the day and maybe next time they see one of our TROOPS they will rememeber the words that are so simple but makes them soo PROUD just a simple THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO!!! Can mean the world to those coming home.

The things they do are for this land.
They have chosen to make a stand.
So we can see and hear there voice.
They know the steps they took were there choice.
As they train day and night.
Getting ready for there country to fight.
Knowing they will see there friends fall.
Wondering when they will receive that call.
There papers are ready and its time for them to go.
When it comes that time they try not to show.
That deep down they must make a confession.
They do not know the answer to there question.
Will they get to come back to this land they love?
Or will they only see it from heaven above?
They try so hard not to show.
You see for they really don’t know.
What will happen while they are there?
Each day they sit and say a prayer.
They will make it home and not be killed.
Enough blood has already been spilled.
Listening they can hear the gun fire.
Deep inside they know they have this desire.
To fight for the Freedom of others they will not betray.
For they know in there hearts they will come home someday.

We send our troops each day.
To a land that is so far away.
Yes it was there choice.
To take this stand so we have the freedom to voice.
Our rights we call them for us to take.
But it is there lives they put at stake.
Just for all of us in order to be free.
As we sit with our families and drink tea.
Laughing and smiling having fun.
While there hell has just begun.
Do we ever really take the time to see?
The life they have and to the degree.
The things they have given.
As they vow never to give up until they have won.
There are those that march across the land.
As they listen to there first in command.
Yelling out there orders they must follow.
As they breathe deep and try to swallow.
At that moment beside them a bomb has exploded.
As they look upon there wounded.
They hear there cries.
And see the tears in there eyes.
As they plead just to let them live.
All they want to do is just survive.
What will it take?
To bring them all back.
Will we really ever know?
Can we reach that plateau?
That some day.
Our troops will come home to stay.

To the soldiers far and near each day we also feel your fear
As the sun rises each and every day.
You see the smoke & bullets coming your way.
Every day and night you pray to God above.
To let you see your family you so dearly love.
Will you ever get out of this hell hole?
It's as if you’re sitting on embers of coal.
You don't ask for much, just everyone’s support.
Waiting for that day you hear its time to deport.
There are tears of joy as you see a white dove.
Flying high above knowing you’re near the home you love.
Ohhh just to feel there arms around you once more.
You can't wait to run up those steps and open the door.
As the tears start to fall you see all the ones you love.
Giving hugs & kisses again you praise God from up above.

We have troops in the Middle East.
Everyday must fight the beast.
They touch the pictures in there pockets.
As they listen in the distance at the rockets.

They hold in there hand a shell.
That reminds them they are in hell.
This desert they do roam.
At night they dream of home.

They watch each day as there friends die.
All they can do is sit down and cry.
They try there very best.
To get some rest.

Times it seems they’re making little progress.
They know they will not settle for less.
There next move they must plot.
Keep all safe, and get no one shot.

They have taken on this task.
All they ever ask.
Is they are paying a debt.
That we should never forget.

They are not doing this for a story.
Instead it is for Old Glory.
They pray to God above.
For this country they love.

Remember when they come home.
They are awesome.
Never make them feel unwelcome.
Instead give them a Hero’s welcome.

They do this for you and me.
So we can live and be.
They love this country it is true.
They do it for the Red, White & Blue.

We should take the time each and every day.
And remember the ones that went away.
It is this country they are fighting for.
So many we have lost and there will be many more.
Some may not think but it is true.
They fight for the Red White & Blue.
It is this country they have in their heart.
Each day more soldiers will depart.
You see they know they have a war to fight.
Even if some think it is not right.
Their lives they will give.
Just so others can live.
They don�t ask much just our support.
At times that seems to fall short.
Give a hand to those that come back.
You see there mind will still flashback.
Back there to a time of despair, pain and death.
As they watched their friends take their last breath.
We seem to forget those that gave their life.
Some lost a brother, father mother or even a wife.
We should never forget to tell the story.
