Is it really true that no one else can love you if you don't love yourself? I don't think that's really true, though I do understand what is meant when people say that.

I've loved people who didn't love themselves.
I think a lot of people just like cliches. It's so much easier when someone else does their thinking for them. And every time you step on a crack, you really do break your mother's back. She just doesn't say anything. |

MANY,,parents LOVE their children,,although,,MANY children HATE them selves..THAT does not stop their parents love from its power of loving them!

It is more or less meant that unless you love yourself you can not truly feel how deep love can really be... Love has different levels of love... until one knows how it feels to except love starting with yourself then it is hard to give that same love back.....
![]() Kind of like I never knew the true meaning of mothers love till I became a mother and experienced that kind of love.... |

No, it's not true. But, I think when we are comfortable and happy with who we are, we attract the same kind of person. Maybe. I don't know.

Is it really true that no one else can love you if you don't love yourself? I don't think that's really true, though I do understand what is meant when people say that. I think it likely that, if you do not love yourself, the day might come when your mate may begin to wonder why they do. Confidence emanates from self acceptance, and self love flows from that. When it overflows, you can spread it elsewhere. |

Well this is a rel hard Q to answer. I'm sure no one can answer this question correctly as no one has clear idea about what is exactly meant by words : LOVE,REAL,TURTH.\ ( anyone getting what I said....???) ![]() |

Is it really true that no one else can love you if you don't love yourself? I don't think that's really true, though I do understand what is meant when people say that. They can love you, but will you fully accept their love for you if you don't love yourself? |

I dont know if it is true or not.
I do know that I love everone... but only a very small percentage of everyone loves me back. |

I don't think it's true, but I do think this. If somebody loves you but you do not at least like yourself, you will almost certainly find a way to sabotage the relationship.

Good point about the sabotage. I think the saying refers to romantic love and one partner continually reassuring the other will but serious strain on the love.

Love is to be feeled,to be sensed.
No one generally prefers to love dumb people who dont sense love often, this may be due to thier selfishness/selfcenteredness/wokholicness/addiction. So its true in the manner that, even if someon passionately loves you despite of ur inability to sense / feel the love it is as good as making him / her unable to love you ( ultimately he /she cant love you anymore if u dont sense the love) |

Is it really true that no one else can love you if you don't love yourself? I don't think that's really true, though I do understand what is meant when people say that. That can be true, however I question anybody's capacity to truly love another person if they don't love themself. |

I don't think that's really true, though I do understand what is meant when people say that. well, I think others can love you even if you do not love yourself what I think is difficult is for you to love others if you don't love yourself |

Is it really true that no one else can love you if you don't love yourself? I don't think that's really true, though I do understand what is meant when people say that. it would depend if the person in question would ALLOW someone to love them, I guess...as to whether they would accept another's love. I don't see how one person is responsible for the other...I can love deeply without the other person doing a thing...it's the acceptance of someone's love that may be the challenge. |
