I am not so sure that is true. I think people will love someone of their choice and the better question here is if someone loves you--- will you let them?

Is it really true that no one else can love you if you don't love yourself? I don't think that's really true, though I do understand what is meant when people say that. Well, I can't say its true for everyone; but I can say its true for me. How can I love someone I wouldn't have any self esteem or confidence. That would be hard on my partner as they would constantly have to reassure me. I don't think that is a good way to have a relationship. |

if one doesn't love oneself and cannot come to accept who they
really are unconditionally then one is bound to be a depressed and unhappy person masking who they could really be without the emotional dampening. others may care for that person, care deeply about that person and love that depressed and unhappy person. however, the person they are experiencing is a pale shadow of the undepressed and happy person who lies within so in that sense they are not loving the unencumbered soul. |
