I'm fortunate to have a handful of friends who love me in spite
of myself...and a whole bunch of fairweather associates who
aren't really 'friends'.

Do you stay friends even though they do things you don't agree
with or do you make judgment calls and walk away...

What would a friend have to do for you to be done?!

kick my dog,hurt any child,lie to me,steal from me,involve me in something shady{dont tell your wife you were with me when your cheating on her because I will tell her the truth} and ya sleeping with the woman Im with.

Spouses or significant other "playin'" around would pretty much stop the contact.

But I would have to say if they were into illegal stuff or into personal drama where my phone rang at all hours of the night every other day would be a reason to lose contact also.

My best friend and I are currently not speaking over her lying to me over her man. I heard she got married to the scumball too It is a longer story than that but it is still the sad ending.

I only ever walked away from one long term friend and that was from drug use..broke my heart to do it. Only after I had done everything to help I had to let go...bad drug usage and I couldn't have it around the boys, so I choose the boys over her.
Miss and love her still...

I never thought I would be without this one until I or she died but the abusive men and then she would go back and lie to everyone over him until he beat her again and then she would tell us all the horrible details and then after we helped her get away, she would go back and lie to everyone about it again. Again and again until a person can't take anymore.

I just don't consider relationships real when there are lies.

I still worry about her everyday and I only know she is okay because I run into her children now and then and they tell me they are worried too. They promise to call me if something extremely serious happens.

There comes a time sometimes when helping someone is not what they need. They have to sort it out in their own mind in their own time.

Friends are nothing more than pending enemies. Everyone flips, everyone cracks, the only person you can fully trust is yourself.

its bad enuff when a woman keeps doing this to herself,,,but to involve her childeren. not right,it sounds like the crap is still going on if the kids are worried too. why wait,turn them in to the srs childservices, let them go do an inhome investigation. dont let em tell you they cant go on hear say.

I don't put up with any bs, if someone that is a perspective friend does me wrong in any way, they are written off in my book. I am very careful about who I let into my life.

I don't know...I have a couple friends of 40 years and I can depend on them more than myself at times.

It don't know I seem to be forgiving most of the time........It took my ex-husband pulling a knife on me destroying my credit doing crack writing bad checks in my name and scaring the hell out of me for me to leave him......so I would say quite a lot but I still can't hate him.......I don't really think I have it in me

I understand and I'm very forgiving...one would have to endanger my boys or myself. I have an uncanny ability to see ALL sides, keeps me humble and forgiving..much more of others than they are of me.
