I'm afraid I don't understand your logic.
I understand abra's. And I respect his vewpoint. He can believe what he wants!

Abra speaks to you from your level of understanding.

Why would I cease to exist? If I pour God out? In the this instance the water simply leaves the glass.

I don't find your analogy of the water and the glass to be applicable in this case.

But consider that both the glass and the water are made up of atoms. Take the atoms out of both and they will both cease to exist.

If I leave my body then I am either dead or having and out of body expierience. I never cease to exist.

This would depend on how you define yourself. What are you? What is God? How are you and God separate?

How do I define myself and how am I and the creator seperate?

God is one being and I am another. Just as you are not part of me and I am not one with you. Same with God.

I am a spirit who lives in a body. That is how I define me.

Well you see abra (This is how I see it) You have the devil he wants things his way NOT God's way. So that's what he does.
He hates what God does and God is riteous so he must hate it.

It's been said the devil has no choice but to hate it. It's in his DNA.

Now when he left heaven the angels that agreed with him followed him. They follow what he believes. And therefor do his bidding. They also hate what he hates.

That's the way I see it. Now do I expect YOU to bow down to me and believe what I say? That's up to you.

I just think people should understand as much as they can.

I don't believe in santa but I like understand the story.

You claim to understand this story, but you are saying that Satan has no choice but to hate because it's in his DNA.

If that's true then God created the hate that is in Satan when God created Satan's DNA.

Your asking me to accept a truly absurd concept here.

I see no reason to place my faith in stories of such a devious God who would create hateful beings who have no choice but to hate him.

I'm sorry but that's totally absurd.

Eastern Mysticism has a far more intelligent picture of God, IMHO.

I'm not asking you to accept Eastern Mysticism, I'm just telling you what I know to be true.

You're the one who is apparently out to try to convince me that I need to believe that Jesus was the sacrificial lamb of some God who was so devious that created a demonic angel designed specifically to hate him. whoa

With all due respect that's certainly not a story that I would want to believe in pure FAITH, and neither is it a story that I'm about to accept as being intellectually sound, because it truly sounds ludicrous to me.

If there is a spiritual essence to reality I imagine that the Eastern Mystics probably have the best description of it. I also have reason to believe that ultimately Jesus himself was indeed an Eastern Mystic in his views. I don't trust the hearsay rumors of the Hebrew's to speak on Jesus' behalf. They were obviously confused about who the man was and what he had to say.

That's the fallacy in your thinking right there. drinker

I am a spirit who lives in a body. That is how I define me.

Then that explains how you can feel like a separate entity from God, but it does not explain how God can be inside of you.

Would that be a spirit inside of another spirit?

Can one spirit possess another spirit?

Is that what you are saying?

When do you become master of your own fate? I ask this question because I find it interesting that the meanist life, the poorest existence, is attributed to God's will, but as human beings become more affluent,as their living stadndard and style begain to ascend the material scale, God descends the scale of respondibility at a commensurate speed.

I understand your question.

My answer is the moment you start to question what you are taught to believe.
