Allright,it shows your love for your dog; but when you get angry during odd time or busy hours, how do you cool down yourself?

I find diplomacy is the way to go when it comes to personal conflicts.

By keeping negative people out of my life as much as possible I find I don't get angry anymore...It wastes too much energy and I don't have time to waste, getting toooo old for all of that...bigsmile

Good advice, exactly what I try to do.
Other wise sit down to a good book and relax.

Cooldown comes only after release. The anger needs a venue of expression.

The best is something not negative and even better something constructive.

There are many strings to play, just find what suits you and the situation you are in... here is some that I have used over time:

Being creative, painting, drawing, writing it out, so to speak.

Taking walks or runs... just works so well, something about the breathing, the air, the rhythm of placing one foot in front of the other...

Exercising hard, sparring or working a punching bag.

Taking a cold shower.

Confronting the person that caused the anger.

Getting laid.

I try to remember a saying by Ghandi:

When you are in then right, you don't have to lose your temper.

When you are in the wrong, you can't afford to lose your temper.

Also, ALWAYS REMEMBER; when you lose your temper; you give control of yourself to another person.

I'll keep control of me, Thank You.

Honestly, it aint easy to get me ticked off.

When I am angry.....it is better when I am not angry.

if it's something i can help, i stay cool to begin with, and patience is a virtue, lest hurrying will only screw it up worse....

if it's something beyond my control, i step back and contemplate the big picture of what will happen senario-wise, then figure out what it will take to nullify the situation.

if it's a person, i'll give them six tries to stop, then walk away, or if i can't walk away... i'll give them six free swings or kicks what have you. block all of them, and they usually back off..... if they don't, i tell them that i like to play with sleeping people, or, their entrails.... with absolutely no emotion.
they then, leave me alone, no matter who, how baddass, or how many they are. true story.
