Topic: Does God even care?

God cares, like a parent for their child

but he stands back to let us make our own choices, like a parent whose child is growing into their own life...

then those that are of god, are supposed to be and do as god, and so should stand back and let other's make their own choices, and decide for themself what is good and not good, not the religious self declared MORE OF GOD.

whom think of themself as holy, and knowing "gods ways", more than WHAT OTHER HUMANS DO.

that is not what I believe parents should do, parents allow children to make their own choices but they still GUIDE and ADVISE where they feel necessary to

so they way you feel to do it, is better than the way god does it?

no thanks.

me take your gods way.

much wiser.

So, if a God or Gods truly exist...what is humanities worth to it/them? What are we worth to a God or Gods in a universe that doesn't flicker when we die, doesn't cry when we are in pain, a universe that if this entire world was destroyed wouldn't shake or tremble one bit.

The logical side of me thinks that if a God or Gods truly created everything, I hardly think it or they really care if we die off given that we are such a minimal aspect of the entire universe and that everything outside of this world is perfectly crafted and stands out magestically when compared to earth.

Ok , more logical is the question :" Why we humans try to
put God in the limited parameters and shaped it similar to
our ideas and imaginations abt God .
Why God has to care about us or help or punish ?

God is not limited to anything. Anything and everything is possible with God.

God cares about us because we are his creation. God helps again because we are his creation. And with your last question, why does a parent punish their child on earth? Why are kids grounded, physically punishes, and or have things taken away for a time being even like xbox's, playstations, ect?

I'm glad you finally see the light. Then God can't possibly be limited to Christianity.

The Christian's arrogant belief that they have the copyright on God is clearly false then.

This question has been running around my head for quite some time, now, I'm an agnostic more or less because I don't know what happens when we die. However, I'm also a bit of a logical thinker and the entire 'heaven and hell' idea just escapes me.

Anyway, regardless of that. How, and I ask everyone this, does one really truly believe with all of the war, famine, and other man-made diseases that plague this world...that a God or Gods really cares? It is said that we are all sewn from the same fabric, in a sense we are all related according to the biggest Bible known to man. Adam and Eve, the forbidden fruit, so on and so forth.

God created the universe is how I recall the story going, each planet, solar system, star constellation, every single drop of this entire life. Then you have us, humanity, not anywhere near perfect.

So, if a God or Gods truly exist...what is humanities worth to it/them? What are we worth to a God or Gods in a universe that doesn't flicker when we die, doesn't cry when we are in pain, a universe that if this entire world was destroyed wouldn't shake or tremble one bit.

Why did God create us?

No God is not limited to "Christians". God is there for everyone, it's people like you whom wish to give the ones that love our father and try out best the title Christian. It is you whom gives us that title. It is you whom gives that title to those who do their best to obey our father's every wish. It is you whom gives that title to those whom give the credit of life to our father.

since nothing can exist unless or until God creates it...therefore God creates pain for the purpose of inflicting it upon his creations

this is why when God inflicts pain upon his creations it is when pain is considered to be love by those that have faith

pain and death is the way that God use to show his love and that he cares

how can this be proved using the bible .....simply ask Jesus

God so love the world that he gave his only begotton son ...which is why giving up your children to go through pain and suffering is a sign that you care

The pain we suffer in life is because of punishment. It falls into the area of being kicked out of the Garden of Eden. If there was no pain, no suffering, or anything of such, this world would be relatively like the Garden of Eden and there would have been no consequence for our disobedience and eating of the fruit.

The pain Jesus suffered was because of you, the whole world, and I. Our sins put Jesus on that cross. If we didn't sin, Jesus would never have had to be crucified for our sins because we wouldn't have any.

as I said punishment and pain is how God show that he cares ...

It falls into the area of being kicked out of the Garden of Eden.

no pain falls into the area of being kicked in the butt

If there was no pain, no suffering, or anything of such, this world would be relatively like the Garden of Eden and there would have been no consequence for our disobedience and eating of the fruit.

right...that's why we need pain...living in the garden or eden would be boring

The pain Jesus suffered was because of you,the whole world, and I

remember it was god that created pain not me...besides I wasn't around 2,000 years ago ...was you? ...

. Our sins put Jesus on that cross. If we didn't sin, Jesus would never have had to be crucified for our sins because we wouldn't have any.

no it was Jesus's ego that put Jesus on the cross ...

Yes it was God who created pain. Pain is there for us to learn. You touch something hot and get burned, you learn not to touch that again. That is why God allows pain to be here, for again being here instead of the Garden of Eden is in punishment for man's disobedience to God.

Pain and suffering doesn't come from God. God allows it to effect us in a way to teach us not to do as such again. God allows a person to be burned when touching a hot skillet so that one will learn not to touch that hot skillet. That's just an example, but nevertheless it can be related to how God is teaching us. He specifically doesn't initiate the pain, it is you. But God allows the pain to effect you so that you will learn.

No it was our sins. If we didn't sin Jesus would never have had to come to Earth in the first place. If it wasn't for our sins those people would never have had the chance to crucify Jesus.

And how do you/people know that God "allows" or "teaching" us by pain and misery or requires whatever like behavior from us ?

It is all in genesis, the first book of the bible. It contains the knowledge of the creation of the world and our fall from grace.
