No longer am I to be on bended knees.
For an Angel has heard my pleas.
My pleas she heard from so up above.
She showed me to forgive I must learn to love.

I must open up my heart once more for all to see.
I had locked the door to my heart and hid the key.
Feeling safer behind the door I closed.
No longer was my heart to be exposed.

No longer did I dare.
To show someone I cared.
For my heart was broken too many times over the years.
It was safe behind that door from the hurt and all those tears.

One without love is just a mere shell.
We have let our demons take over from hell.
Without love we can not learn to forgive.
And know the true meaning what it is to live.

This Angel heard all my cries.
She made me see with these tear stained eyes.
I wanted to be loved and for someone to see.
As I stood there I opened up my hand that held the key.

No longer is my heart cold.
It reaches out for someone to hold.
She washed away the fears.
She wiped away the tears.

She came from above.
She taught me to love.
That one should forgive.
This is the way we should live.
