Damn right Lynx! Think of it like target practice for face to face encounters. If you are gonna try out a cheesy pick up line or a lame joke...might as well do it sitting in your underoos with the safety of no one around to feel embarrassed when a joke bombs or you slip loose a eye watering chili fart. (....ahem...not that I would ever fart!) Another lil pointer...I saw Jammer...she is a good looking woman...I see that she has posted 10 times in 2 years....this tells me that if you had messaged he...she wouldnt have seen it. I also went to check out her pix (she IS goooood lookin AND a countryfied redneck lady!!!!!) and was going to send her a cheesy welcome line..."Why hellloooooo there....." But, on her restrictions she has "must be within 100 miles"........she hamstrung herself with that restriction. See my previous post about finding a local date. Hell, in the past 2 months I have driven to San Antonio 3 times just to hang out with my best friend and that is a 6.5 hour drive each way! Dallas is 156 miles from me and that would eliminate thousands of potential chances to be happy. If i were you...take off any filters...age restrictions ect. IF one thing becomes a problem...THEN turn on that filter...until then, every filter is cutting away your chances to even just make a good friend here. Krupa i love you, your funny and give the best advice

actionlynx, overseas really? Scam, or to be scammed if your looking overseas I would say to be scammed. Think about it you looking for mail order bride. Or all American women??? Honestly, I wasn't looking overseas. I wanted something local. Right about now, I could pick a lot of women here in the U.S., but still nothing local. Unfortunately, before the U.S. women took notice, it was the overseas ones all after me. Now, I've got someone, and suddenly everyone is interested. Go figure! Point is, the one that came to me here on Mingle was a damn fine catch on all angles, and she ain't no scam. She's actually one of the most amazing women I've known. Few women I've met - and I've met thousands of women working in service industry most of life - match up to the depth of personality and character to the one I have now. Don't take me personally though, Jammer. I've only just met you, and I get your meaning. I wasn't looking, but I just got lucky. My case is an exception to the rule. I'm really careful about scams, and I actually go after scammers because I know the game and am very good at detective work. The stalker wouldn't leave me alone, so I had to flush him/her out in order to deal with that problem. After 3 months and multiple websites, I finally did just that. I bring this part up as an example....I've had several scammers removed from this and another site. Hell....I'm talking too much. Point is, Jammer, I respect what you're getting at. It just doesn't apply to me. I have no hard feelings over it. |

well where in God's scorched oil wells do u live krupa? 156 miles from Dallas? Aint that florida or new mexico? Oh good advice BTW - think I'll give it a try I live in Abilene...just about the middle of Texas. Dallas is 156 miles east. El Paso and New mexico is 580 miles west. Houston and the gulf coast is 8 hours south. Its a big damned state. Point is....a few hours drive aint nothing if you really want to meet and spend time with someone. No it isn't & when you find the one there is no amount of road that will keep you apart
